Since Disney acquired Lucasarts a couple of years ago, I had given up hope of ever seeing this game getting a digital re-release. It goes without saying, as soon as I saw it available for purchase I had to buy it. If there's even a small chance of this getting a real proper HD remaster, I want to show my support.

This game means a lot to me. It is THE defining game for me during my childhood, a game I've replayed over and over again since its release. It had a great influence on my learning the English language. The humor is fantastic with a lot of distinctly memorable characters, and the soundtrack is one of the best (and by 1997 game standards one of the most impressive OSTs that I can recall).

Now, I'm going to be honest here. I'm really, really biased (if you hadn't noticed). But here's the one thing I know: Whenever I go back to this game, I enjoy it. Many other games of the era clearly haven't aged as well and some can incorporate some very frustrating game mechanics which quickly strip you of your rose-tinted glasses.

Not so with this one. In my opinion a true classic. Only fitting that you can get the first 3 stellar games of this series for a total of less than 20 bucks (adjusted for inflation from the 90's).

This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane. It's got fun mechanics, too. And it's ridiculously edgy.

A few bugs aside, while the standalone game is pretty empty, the Ultimate edition has so much content it will keep you going for days at an end. The game had a rocky launch, but it's nothing you will find this long after release.

Refreshing.
