alright, wheres my urban planning degree?

Playing this game always ends up with an arms race with my friends that lasts 2 hours (no, im not exaggerating) until one person decides to attack the other leaving the other in the position to wipe everyone out and win.

11/10 would commit genocide again.

This game involves moments of critical moral decision making and as a result, I have discovered that I have no morals.

It was for the good of the colony I swear.

I think I've found my new favourite game. Its absolutely filled with charm and details that are crammed into every nook and cranny. The Music is Superb, the characters are filled with... well, character and are all unique in their own ways. The amount of satisfaction you get from beating a hard level is immense, they're balanced just right so that they're hard to beat but once you do beat them is an amazing feeling. The levels are incredibly creative, with each one introducing a new concept or visual style. But they make sure you've mastered it before dropping you in the deep end. I can't wait to see how this game progresses in development, its obvious heaps of love is being put into it and I hope the devs take their time on it. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love this game so much. 100% worth the price.

Story good, combat good, world-building is amazing. Unfortunately, the story is held back through the medium it is told through. As the game has a distinct lack of polish and buggyness (at least on pc) and cut scene conversations seem very awkward and disconnected. The logs and snippets of story that you get through the game (and the visuals you get when exploring abandoned facility's) are potentially the highlight of the game.
7.5/10: If it were a book it would be amazing.

I purchased this around 4 years ago, played it for about 30 mins and decided that my computer wasn't powerful enough to run it. Now that I have a more powerful Pc, I managed to finish the game. So here are my general thoughts on it.

The game itself has aged fairly well, the graphics still look great even [Insert amount of years here] later. The music still slaps, and the controls feel tight. What has not aged though is the Ai. It constantly smashes into both you and traffic with no regard to any of its surroundings (I assume its just has a pre-programmed path that it follows with little variation). The AI is also incredibly over powered. Just some of these powers include medium level rubber banding, pulling boost out of thin air and teleporting when they crash or get stuck (this can be incredibly annoying in police chases, because when they crash in a road block and you go back to stop them, they will just teleport in front of you.) Despite these annoyances, you eventually get used to how the AI behaves and is not a game breaking feature (at least for me)

The split Cop and Racer dynamic is very fun, and a great way to shake things up if you feel like you are getting bored of running away or races (and vice versa for the cops). The only thing I am disappointed about is how little they put into the cop mode, the racer tracks feel fully fleshed out with it seeming like theres always something new to do. In comparison the cop mode has little variation and has about 2/3 the amount of content than the racer.

Final Verdict? Definitely pick this up on sale, it is a decent game and has got me into the racing genre. (I cant speak much for the remastered version of the game, but I feel it will mostly be the same).

I play with 2 friends,
one runs off by himself and gets downed, screams for me to save him
I run off to try and revive him but get killed by hordes of zombies trying to get there, yell out to third friend
third friend is too far away and dies due to acid,
bot is absolute ass and dies due to incompetence
We all yell and curse at each other for five minutes about whos fault that was before quitting the game
Repeat the next day

15/10 would ruin friendships again :)
