This is an easier (and worse) version of Dota 2.

If you haven't played Dota 2, if you think that Dota 2 is too hard, or if you're a big fan of the DC universe, then this game might be for you.

However, some people have said that this game is a lot like League of Legends, so if you are not really that into the DC universe then you would probably be better of playing that game over this.

The reason I'm giving this game a thumbs down is not because it's a bad game - it's just because there are much better MOBAs (Dota 2) out there.

Story:
The story for me was pretty meh. It didn't really pull me in, and I mostly just wanted to get on with the next puzzle, but what it lacked in plot it made up for in atmosphere. I really loved the whole noir setting.

Gameplay:
I started playing this right after finishing Psychonauts, one of the best platformers ever made, and was expecting this to be a platformer as well, but it is not. This is a puzzle game. Sure, you have to jump from platform to platform a couple of times, but most of my four hours spent playing this game was spent trying to figure out how to get to the next stage. Not to say that that is a bad thing. I enjoyed most of the puzzles, and jumping on peoples heads while moving through the shadows was quite amusing. The puzzles were hard but not too hard, so the game took me about four hours to complete, which was just long enough. Had it been any longer I would maybe have gotten a bit bored.

Graphics:
The game looks pretty good, especially the shadow parts. Moving around in the shadows felt pretty smooth (for the most part), and moving objects around to cast just the right shadow on the wall also worked pretty well (for the most part).

Music:
Most of the music went in one ear and out the other, but with one exception. The singing scene in the bar was really good. They should have put a gallery option in the main menu so you could go back and see it whenever you want (without having to play through the chapter).

Overall:
7/10

Story:
The storyline in Psychonauts was, like everything else, awesome. It was creepy, hilarious, sad... Just a big mix of everything. The characters are just so likable, especially the lead man Raz. All the kids at the camp have something about them that makes you smile - even the camp bully who kicks you from behind when you're not looking. And let's not forget all the great one-liners, such as when you beat a guy called Dragon and Raz goes "Soon they'll be 'dragon' your ass outta here!" Classic. Most of the characters come off as funny and laid back at first, but then as you enter their minds you get to see all the hardships they have have been through, and suddenly things are not so funny anymore... Just make sure you talk to everyone you see, or you will miss out on a lot.

Gameplay:
THIS is how a platformer should be. You learn various new skills as you make your way through everyone's minds, such as telekinesis, pyrokinesis, levitation and more. In some cases you need to use certain skills to get past an obstacle, but most of the time you are free to use whatever you want. When you are in a pinch you can contact someone who will tell you what to do, but more than once I just ignored his advice and used my own method. This kind of freedom was to me a big plus. In addition to all the skills you can use, there are a lot of things to collect. A LOT. Figments, PSI cards, emotional baggages and memory vaults all have to be collected if you want to clear the game 100%. Oh, and there is a scavanger hunt as well. There are more than a thousand figments, many of which are really hard to spot, so good luck getting them all without using a guide...

Graphics:
The game is pretty old, which shows, but even so the art style is just perfect. Some of the characters look hilarious while others look really creepy. I even found the girl Lili really cute in some strange way. Maybe it was just her personality. The world also matches the mood of the game. You have some creepy minds, some scary ones, some funny ones, and some that just make no sense at all. In other words, the minds of the people in the game are like the minds of us real people.

Music:
The music fits the mood perfectly as well, as do the voices. Apparently some of the characters are voiced by the same person, but that doesn't really matter, 'cause all the characters feel very distinct from one another. If I had to pick a favorite it would probably be Raz or Lili, but the guy who burns squirrels with his mind was also pretty funny/cute.

Overall:
10/10

One of the best platformers I have played.

So far the shortest game I have ever played, but well worth what I paid for it.

Story:
Nice story. Pulls you in right away, and ends before you know it.

Gameplay:
It's a visual novel, so you pretty much just left-click your way through it. However, sometimes it will link you to a Wikipedia page explaining various parts of Chinese culture, which was a nice plus. If you take the time to actually read about the places and creatures mentioned in the game it adds a lot to the whole experience.

Graphics:
The pictures, both the characters and the scenery, are beautiful. I went straight to the gallery to have another look at some of the pictures as soon as i finished the game.

Music:
To me this was probably the best part of the game. The instrumental pieces were beautiful, and you even get the OST for free when you buy the game! There are a lot of games out there, with much worse music, that make you pay for the OST, and then this game lets you have it for free! BIG plus.

The two voice actresses also did a pretty good job. I have only studied a little Chinese, but was able to pick up a few words and sentences here and there that I knew, so for those studying Chinese this game might be a nice listening exercise.

I'm rating this game this highly because despite only taking about an hour to finish, it's 1) a very good game, 2) a very beautiful game, and 3) a very cheap game. I've had the credits rolling in the background since I finished the game a while ago, just so I could listen to the music ("Can't Wait Sweet Osmanthus Blooms") while writing this.

For anyone who loves South Park, this game is a must-buy. I was hoping for a second South Park movie to be released some day, but this is even better. It's a dream come true for any South Park fan.

Story:
A 10/10 South Park episode that you can actually interact with. I laughed out loud more than once, which is rare for a computer game, and I just want to play throught it all over again just to see how things go if I make some different choices throughout the game. Again, 10/10 story.

Gameplay:
The game plays out pretty well. It looks and feels just like South Park while still being a pretty decent turn-based RPG. I'm not really a big fan of turn-based games, but the fact that you can press a button mid-fight to block/counter enemies makes the game a lot more fun to play.

Graphics:
This is South Park, what more do you need to know? It looks just like any other South Park episode. Except for Canada, of course. Canada looks... different.

Music:
Again, if you have watched South Park you will also recognize all the music and all the voices. Listening to all the songs playing on the all the radios is like listening to the South Park Greatest Hits. It's freakin' awesome, brah.

Overall:
9/10

It took me about 15 hours to get through the game, but so far I have only completed about half of the achievements. Time to play through it again - this time going for a 100% clear!

Story:
The story pulls you in, and to me it felt like I was playing out a novel. I was expecting it to be a bit like Silent Hill, just less scary and more realistic, and I guess that's (sort of?) what it was. There was one part of the game that made me jump in my seat, but other than that it wasn't really scary, just a bit creepy (in a good way). I wasn't completely satisfied with the ending, but everything up until then was great. It took me about 7,5 hours to clear the whole game (with the exception of a "hidden" achievement that I looked up online), so it's a pretty short, but excellent, game.

Gameplay:
In a way this game felt a bit limiting, as I've gotten used to being able to jump when I play games. Stupid, I know. Who goes around jumping all the time anyway? I also thought more than once that it would be nice to be able to check your inventory, but again, I eventually got used to actually having to use my brain and remember what I picked up.

There were a few glitches, such as "something" that you could turn on and off that suddenly became unclickable. I thought that the bug was probably just a part of the game, and was stuck for a long time running around trying to find out where to go next. Then. when I restarted the game, that "something" became clickable again, and I was finally able to go where I was suppose to. Also, some clues and items that I picked up would get returned to where I found them every time I restarted the game, but these are just minor details. All in all things were great.

Graphics:
Beautilful. Everything in Red Creek Valley looked great. The buildings, the scenery. Everything.

Music:
Beautiful. So much so that I even consider buying the soundtrack. I even sat through all the credits just so I could listen to the music...

Overall score:
9/10

This is my first game in the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm-series (not counting a DS game that I have hardly played at all), and so far I'm not disappointed.

First of all, the praise:
- The battles are fun! This is my first 3D fighting game, and it feels kinda refreshing. The camera follows you around (almost) perfectly, even when there are four fighters on the field, and it just feels great zipping around at a ridiculous speed while trying to dodge those kunais flying at you, all the while trying to land that ultimate jutsu on your opponent.
- It looks great! When the game was released a lot of people complained about the game being "only 30 FPS." Well, that does not matter at all, at least not to me. It looks and feels like you're in an anime, which is what a Naruto game is suppose to be like.
- The "story modes" are pretty good. The first mode is the Ninja World Tournament, which is this fighting tournament where the main goal is to collect as many orbs as possible, gained by beating them out of your opponents. This mode can be pretty entertaining when you want some change of pace, although most of the side quests included in this mode feel a bit unnecessary. The other mode, which lets you play through a few short storylines including the Akatsuki backstory, are short but sweet. There really aren't that many fights included, but they are still worth a playthrough just for the awesome anime clips.
- The roster is huge. Most of the major characters are included, and although there will probably always be a character or two that you feel is missing, there are still more than enough characters to keep you entertained for a long time.
- The music/sounds/voices are great! All of the voice actors do a great job as usual, and although I wish some of the voices (young Kakashi/young Obito) had stayed the same as they were originally in the anime, that's just a minor detail. All in all i think the music and the sounds all do a great job of pulling you in to the world of Naruto.

My one and only complaint so far:
- The optimization is pretty bad. So far, I have not been able to run this game smoothly with all the graphic settings at max, although my computer should be more than capable of handling it. The game still looks pretty damn good though, so it's not something that bothers me that much.
- Okay, maybe one more small complaint. A few more moves wouldn't have hurt. Since the button combos are almost exactly the same for each character, adding a few more moves in there wouldn't have hurt.

All in all I really recommend this game to both Naruto-fans as well as fans of fighting games, as it's something a little different from all those 2D fighters out there.

PS. If you're game is not running smoothly, check which graphics card is set as your standard one. After I changed the recommended graphics card to my best one I was able to run the game more smoothly even with better graphics.

Having played Dota since the release of Dota 1 for Warcraft III, I have been playing this game on and off for several years, and Dota 2 improves on the already excellent Dota 1, making it one of the best games to date.

There are so many heroes and items to choose from, so many viable strategies depending on what heroes are in your team, various updates and events throughout the year... In short, you most likely won't get tired of this game any time soon.

Dota 2 is a fairly complex game, and some "pro" players may act a bit hostile towards the "noobs", but that just means that once you master the game it will feel even that more rewarding. (Even after you "master" the game there will still be people flaming you when you have a bad game, but that's just how this game is - you learn to ignore/laugh at those guys)

And most importantly - it's completely FREE! No need to spend your hard-earned money or a lot of time unlocking all the heroes (*caugh* LoL *caugh*) since they are all available from the start. Cosmetic items are the only thing that costs money in this game, and seeing as they don't effect the gameplay in any way, you don't have to get those unless you maybe wanna make your hero look even more stylish.
