This game is pathetically bad. It's fun for the first few hours but even in co-op the repetitive gameplay loop and the boring monologuing antagonists with motives and dialogue that wishes it were profound but feel like they were written by a teenager going through an edgy phase is too much to bear. The game is also bug ridden and feels completely clunky. At its best you'll just end up laughing at how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game is.

The new Radiant mode makes the game way more enjoyable while still being super challenging. There's a handful of mods in the workshop that make the game even more friendly if you're still having trouble as well as adding new, fun characters.

Every decision you make leads to more hardships, and often times, keeping in line with the cosmic horror and depressing nihilism that makes Lovecrafts work so captivating, there's little you can do to avoid these hardships, if one of your loyal adventurers die or more likely loses their mind and become overwhemingly fearful and insane, there's always a wagon full of fresh victims to send back out to the darkest dungeons.

If the idea of one of your party members screaming obscenities at your other comrades, stressing them out while refusing aid and then eventually having a heart attack mid-turn out of stress isn't for you, I probably can't reccomend this game. But if you like super gothic, dark, lovecraftian dungeon crawling in which the biggest enemy to your characters is their own mental stability, then pick this up.
