A bit of a forewarning: I have been playing this game since it's fairly early beta period. The total amount of time played vastly surpases the amount that is logged on steam due to it originally being a non-steam product.

Path of Exile is easily one of, if not, the best games within it's Genre. It's got an ethical free 2 play model that offers no actual in game power. Other than the ability to become a massive hoarded when you inevitably drop a few dollars on some stash tabs. While, you can trade without premium stash tabs it is noticably more cumbresome. This is probably my only gripe with the business model of the game. And I've been playing for years.

The game itself is well thoughout with a meta that shifts from league to league due to ongoing balance and skill & support introductions. It rewards rigorous planning, of which there are many tools to help with this. Perhaps the interface and wording could use a bit more explanation within the game but there is an excellent help menu that I hope is expanded upon in the future.

Would I suggest this game? Yes. I have suggested it to many people, if you were were upset with what became D3 and were looking for something more like Diablo 2 with some modern touches and continued development - this game is for you. If you'e looking for an ARPG with compelling gameplay that once it sinks it's teeth into you, it doesn't let you go - this game is also for you.
