Great game, performance needs work though.

3060 struggling on medium around 40-50fps. I just turned everything down and it's playable, great game so far though. Will update my review in about 100 hours lol

Early Access Review
So lets start what this isn't:

- THE BEST NEXT GEN RTS
- OUT OF THIS WORLD GRAPHICS
- FINISHED/POLISHED GAMEPLAY

So lets talk about what this game is:
- This game is a fairly good entry to the rts genre.
- It doesn't do anything too crazily new, but it does take basic mechanics, modernize them a bit with things like the global build hotkeys, and add their own spin to it.
- is it fairly balanced? we don't know yet game is fairly new
- is the campaign outstanding? no, don't ever buy an early access game for its campaign - wait until the game is done before buying for that lol
- replay system exists, just not good (missing features, but you can watch whats happening lol)

Early access rating so far?

4.35/5 - lot of promise, lot to determine, lot of opportunities for crazy builds that i have yet to even see tried. It's a time for a creative rts player :)

it's a little grindy, but fun as hell.

can't really buy cards, and you get shti random so you can't really work towards anything, so you just make withw hat you get and have fun and still be winning games. very simple yet competitive game lol love it.

pokes my brain meat nicely lmao

Man I've been waiting years for a mining game like this. There's like ounces of mc and sd in here that I love.

Crowntrick:

Instead of me doing like a traditional review, I'm just going to list some of the things that I noticed that stood out and things that I didn't like if any.

Ever since I got introduced to Dragon Fin Soup, I've been searching for a game that had this movement style that didn't feel clunky or dated and with the art style, the cleaness of it all, this seems like the turn based style game I've been waiting for the last like 5-6 years.

The Good:
- The movement feels great, except if you move too fast with wasd your character can slip into a direction mostly because you should be careful with strafing. Single tap moving felt right on the money I will admit with the turn based system.
- The tutorial is phenominal imho, it's not overly done or corny, it just throws you in a mini dungeon and explains how things work mechanic wise. That's all it should do and it does it well.
- The art, music, the look is fantastic. Won't get bored easily, the trailers imho don't show how pretty game really is at 1080p, shoutout to that art team.
- I love how ridiculous the weapons are, I had a damn sniper rifle lmao. They really play with the idea that anything goes almost.
- relic system reminds me of slay the spire, you can stack as many relic's that you find and I think it makes sense it's dope, lot of variety in these runs

The Bad:
- Looking at the minimap when moving feels really bad, like it stutters almost and I get that it's trying to map the turn based movement to the character on the minimap, but they should really smooth that out so it doesn't seem laggy imho.
- No way to save a run once you've gotten to the shop.

It gives me a lot of reminders of existing roguelikes out there. This is definitely worth the money, get it and have fun. There's a lot to unlock and based on how much I played so far you'll be entertained for a while.

Definitely fun, and has some very fun cards. I find this just as enjoyable as slay the spire.
