Very good, everything a half-life 2 mod should be. I missed the crowbar somehow, which made certain parts a bit annoying. 10/10

Great game, being free and so short I very highly recommend this universally.

An incredible mod. Longer than Episode 2. There were a couple small issues I found including apparently unfinished level geometry but aside from that the experience was about as smooth as I could have expected. I got stuck more than once, but I'm inclined to blame myself over the level design.

The G-man sequence clearly drew influence from Half-Life: Alyx in its lighting and cinematography as well as that the actual interaction largely mirrors that of HL:A. The G-man is still as condescending and creepy as normal. The voice acting and animation were great. I think the sequence would have done well to emulate the HL2 trilogy's cinematography rather than that of HL:A, since that style doesn't look nearly as good on flatscreen as it does in vr.

EZ2 does well at fitting within the existing lore of the Half-Life series. Old locations and enemies revisited are faithfully recreated and sometimes then modified or expanded to make sense. The new enemy types were cool and sensible. The weapons, new and old, were fun and lore-friendly. I especially like this game's (brief) execution of the stunstick, which is much better than it is in many other mods.

All in all, this game succeeded in its environment, character, and weapon design, gameplay, and story to make an experience that goes perfectly with the rest of the Half-Life series.

A pretty and artful game. It was definitely sombre throughout; I found it scary during gameplay and melancholic at the end. I would recommend this more for the bare audiovisuals and tone than I would for the actual story, which I found too subtle to be particularly impactful.

Fun game, its unique mechanics put a fun spin on what usually constitutes walking simulators. The story was interesting and engaging, and I really liked the ending. Achievements were fun, too.

I played this years ago when it was only a mobile game. It remains as pretty and as interesting as ever

Early Access Review
This game reminds me a lot of Quake. I enjoy the look of the artstyle, and the secrets are really interesting.

The Moon Sliver builds up very well to its end, which I thought was terrifying

I loved the atmosphere. I didn't really get it after my first playthrough but I cried at the end of my second.
