The Good

I like the game play a lot. I am mildly into speed running games and this is the perfect starter game for anyone who really wants to try it. The game play is pretty sleek, and the art direction is simple but nice to look at. Best of all, you can probably run this game on a two pregnancy sticks. I have encountered exactly one bug and it was fixed by relaunching the game. It has good bones

The Bad

As of right now, I feel I WOULD be about half way through a game. This is definitely not the case with Neon White. Im basing my progressionon the "Neon Ranking" which counts down from 100 and gets lower the better you play. I have gotten the highest possible score on every level (takes about 5-10 mins for me) and Im STILL at high 60s. I would not be surprised if my final playtime of this game is 30 hours or more. It's a bit drawn out for what it is but taking a break from it fixes this I think.

THE UGLY

Wow some of the writing... Violet is easily the most insufferable character in this game. Yellow who is supposed the annoying himbo frat boy ends up being the BEST character. Seriously, so far whites and yellows chemistry is pretty enjoyable and I find myself smiling a lot when they share the screen. Violet on the other hand is supposed to be this Alt E-Girl? This broad quite literally has all the worst lines in the game. Her lines are either cringey or flat out gross. One example is, "No youre a good one who would catch a girls spit with your mouth." What the actual ♥♥♥♥? I don't care if this is supposed to be ironic, this is just weird and the weirdness compounds because she does a "cutesy" voice. You could honestly cut her from the game and it would be better but gooners who only know women by their pixel count might get upset about that. Really wish they was an off button for her but spamming the space bar while she talks is close enough I guess.

this game makes me hard

Dusk is an amazing game with a lot of love and care built into its mechanics. Dusk is one of those retro shooters that at first you just think its a quake clone. And at first youre right, and the game i think knows this. The second episode introduces more interesting map design while introducing some of the scariest levels i have played in a video game. Seriously this ♥♥♥♥ will scare you. The second episode i feel mainly focuses on atmosphere and it does get to you. There was multiple times i felt like such a ♥♥♥♥♥ for being uncomfy during a level. The third episode is easily the best one. I wont say anything just take my word for it. I havent even talked about the music. I think this easily could rival DOOM's sound track. It doesn't invade the game play and it actually adds to it. It feels like it changes depending on what youre doing in the game which again adds to the atmosphere. For anyone who likes arena shooters or anyone who just likes shooters in general i think will love this game. Its mechanics are easy to get the hang of and you feel like such a bad ass going 1000 mph with dual wield lever action shottys.

i know that this game has been out for like 4 years and everything that could be said about it has already been said. This comment probably wont see the light of day. It will go unseen to anyone who looks at the store page for this game. I can confidently say that this is one of the best games I've ever played. I was n't when playing this game too. Whenever I played, my friends would come to watch me and voice the characters with me. That combined with this games amazing story about loss has truly been an unforgettable experience. For any of my friends that joined me. thank you. I love you all so much and you made a great game even better.

This, I like this.

This is easily one of my most favorite games of all time. There is so much love put into this game it almost shouldnt be real. Across all platforms I probably have around 400 hours put into this game and I still love it.
