This might be the best game of 2024 for me, and that's saying a lot considering its only in early access with about half the content that will be there at launch.

My first playthrough was as a "Mercenary", a class that very much plays like a top down shooter, with loads of build potentials and fun ways to get through hoardes.

The boss fights are in the level of souls like game, readable bosses that punish hard when not paying attention. the fights are fun, intense and satisfying. Although difficult, they're not over-tuned. I was able to beat all the bosses within 4 tries, and thats saying a lot considering this is my first real attempt at a ARPG.

my first playthrough took be about 40-45 hours and that's just ACT 1 - ACT 3, I haven't even reached Endgame. And that's just with one class and one build. honestly the potential feels endless.

Its lowkey fire

First off, ♥♥♥♥ the TikTok kids who're downvoting this DLC for being hard. That's the whole point of a Souls-like game. Sad your OP one-shot build doesn't work anymore? Cry more.

But all jokes aside, SOTE is the size of a newly released AAA game. It's worth every penny. It has a big map with loads of content that makes it feel alive and never boring. Complex exploration that isn't hard if you give yourself the time to explore. And awesome boss fights that leave you shaking and sweating with excitement.

The new leveling system isn't as confusing as people are making it out to be. It's the only way they could make sure everybody explored the new builds they provided with the amazing amount of new weapons and magic.

If you loved Elden Ring because of the complexity and difficulty, buy this. If you bought Elden Ring to use the most OP build every time, you're gonna struggle. It's very much the best DLC I've ever played.

yes just yes. A few minor bugs here and there but overall a very good experience.

after 95+ hours I can still say this game is a gem.

I normally hate open world games, I can't play more then 5 hours in one character because its just follow questmarker the game. But elden ring lets you do your own thing. Its how open world games need to be: free, challenging but fair.

This game also rocks a banger soundtrack and good visuals. the animations of bosses are great and readable. although sometimes frustrating I would recommend this game to almost anyone.

It feels like halo, it sounds like halo. But yet its modernized in a way that fits the series.

I do not like the progression system though. It really need a rework. But I believe they’ll be able to fix it in a way that will satisfy.

10/10 would play again

after 1000 hours I finally understand 20% of the game ;)
