I wanted to write this review specifically to combat those who give this game a thumbs down due to it being too "luck-based".
If you go into each game with a specific strategy in mind, this game is EXTREMELY luck based.
This game rewards players who can curate strategies on the fly; adapting to the hands they are dealt every turn.
You may feel like you need to keep your level 2 ant so you can pill it before you add the frozen turtle to your party, but guess what? You don't have to.
Yes, your team would theoretically be stronger if you did, but often times a solid 8/10 build will get you where you need to be. Sometimes acting early like this will make your team even more powerful than if you had waited anyway. Making strong, fast moves is often times better than waiting for the perfect one.
Stop praying for the stars to align so that you build your perfect 10/10 dream team and instead, use what you have available at the current moment to make good enough team that can still kick almost every other team's ass.

If you still think this game is too luck-based, I encourage you to join the SAP discord and play some versus lobbies with the same group of people. 9 times out of 10 the same couple of people will always win.
