Wholeheartedly recommended. This game has the best portrayal of a romantic relationship I've ever seen. It is incredibly wholesome and cute, the characters feel genuine and they care for each other with authenticity.

I have seen romantic movies and books, but this game makes you play that role and therefore achieves its intentions with much more impact. Granted, I played it with my girlfriend and we found Yu and Kay VERY relatable to our personal experiences. In fact, Kay may be the most relatable character to me I've ever seen.
That's not only because of the relationship, but because Haven revels in the intimate, in the little dialogues and the quirky conversations, in building characters that engage in very human, very mundane activities that you can relate to. We ended up playing the whole game just to see what conversations we could unlock by the end, as every little detail was very enjoyable.

As if that wasn't enough, the gamplay and aesthetics are polished to an excellent degree. Gameplay never feels stale despite being so simple. Flying around collecting Flow and collectibles was fun and engaging no matter who had the lead. And the combat was strategic, simple and fun. Although it could be that the fun is mostly in timing the attacks and blocks correctly with your coplayer. The only downside I can think of is that some flowthreads are kinda easy to miss and you may end up looking for them for a little too long.

In terms of aesthetics, the opening animation is outstanding. Makes me wonder how much they spent on it. Nevertheless, it's absolutely worth it. The music is also very memorable and catchy. The character and enemy designs are on point and the design of the base (the Nest) is super cute and comfy. We loved looking through it in detail.

Edit after one year: I didn't do the music enough justice. The OST composed by DANGER is an absolute banger. All the tracks are memorable and none feel like filler. I still listen to it almost everyday, I would put it up there with Persona 5. Other games have 1 to 3 songs that I keep for my work playlist, but I have over 10 of Haven's in there.

Overall, unforgettable experience that I'll definitely relive with my gf in some years. 10/10, made me have so many overwhelmingly beautiful emotions. If any more content is released, I'll be very excited.
