Genuine love letter to that classic era of survival horror where you play as an asthmatic suffering through the worst cheese dream of his life.

Personally I wouldn't say I was massively spooped, but I was very much entertained.

Buttery smooth, high speed combat, open-world traversal with a dreamy soundtrack.

Oodles of encounters, tons of unlocks, buckets of fun.

I love it.

Early Access Review
I am Mr. Icarus and Selaco is the best game on the Citadel.

Not kidding, a ridiculous achievement that makes the GZDoom engine shine and honestly puts games on more modern engines to shame. You want tactile, visceral gun combat? Selaco gotchu. You want reactive enemies, secret laden explorable levels? SELACO GOTCHU.

Yeah yeah, EARLY ACCESS. This game feels complete even for Chapter One. I cannot wait to see what they do next.

ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA

A great expansion that in my opinion raises the already pretty high bar for quality and satisfaction that the base game laid down. The new levels are a blast to play through and the new additions to the weapon roster are so legitimately entertaining that i'd happily run with them when revisiting the original campaign.

PLAY IT

Stylistically quirky. Genuinely fun.

Enemies attack and sometimes interact with each other in interesting ways. Your weapons are reloaded with the help of tiny spirit skulls. It has a genuinely well implemented rewind-save mechanic and your main antagonist is a cross between a chicken and a snake.

I love it. You should absolutely try it.

Easily one of my favorite FPS games of the year.

Buttery smooth movement, satisfying as heck gun-play, OTT ultra-violence.

Masterwork of a shooter.

Roguelite Doom Eternal with a Cyberpunk twist. Fast-paced, blood-pumping combat with emphasis on juggling weapons, managing ability cool-downs and resource harvesting (ammo + armor). Swappable loadouts unlocked between attempts keep things fresh, implant slots give you interesting buffs and tweaks to in terms of upgrade possibilities and oh god the bosses, these bastards will make you sweat.

Big Recommend.

Surprisingly solid throwback shooting with a clear appreciation for the classics. Features some genuinely cool ideas. Criminally cheap for the amount of fun I had with it.

Only minor gripes I have about it is that it's story take a big ol' backseat and the soundtrack often doesn't suit the action of it's levels.

Show this one some love, it deserves it.

Entirely worth the price of admission if you're jonesing for those classic Wipeout (mostly Wip3out) vibes. Blistering speed, smooth gameplay, custom workshop content out the wazoo, vomit inducing VR compatibility.

It's great. Also runs brilliant on Steam Deck, should absolutely get itself approved.
