DREDGE is a really good game, especially for fans of Lovecraft. When I bought it, I knew it contained references. But the game even exceeded my expectations. Combining fishing and Lovecraft is a very cool idea 🎣

It has fairly simple gameplay with main and side quests and a plot twist at the end. Besides that, it's also a relaxing game: you can just chill out on the waves and fish while exploring the ocean. However, you will be safe almost nowhere in the game world: the ocean is limitless and very beautiful, but dangerous. Nightmares and whispers of the abyss that drive the fisherman crazy, frighten and fascinate. But at dawn there is always wonderful calm music. My favorite place is Star Bay: mysterious light, bright jellyfish, coral atolls and a not-mad scientist in the middle of it 🪼

Cons:

1. After 10-15 hours of gameplay, fishing gets boring. When you've completely upgraded your boat, fishing stops making sense at all. Only those who want to get all the achievements (like me, haha) need to continue this.

2. No chapters. The game has two endings. To get both, you need to make a save, otherwise you will have to start over. I forgot about it and will start from scratch 😞

DREDGE is worthy 9/10. I'm surprised how much the developers packed into such a small game.

After new patch I can say: game is getting worse and less fun for survivors. Where are pallets? What did you do with Haddonfield map? Meh~
