IC was the first game I ever played online. There's a reason why I'm still playing it 12 years later.

Not only is the gameplay itself gripping and entertaining, the creature creation process is thoroughly interesting and adds a very unique dynamic to the RTS genre which literally changes everything. IC is not a game solely about APM or superior race choice, it's got an approach which leads to an evolving metagame. This is something unlike any RTS you'll ever play.

Beyond the game, the community is devout. There are a group of members who have stuck with this game for many years. I, myself, have made countless friends in different countries over the years, many of whom I am still in contact with. That's because people fall in love with this game.
If you give it a chance, you will too.

I coudn't recommend this game more. Absolute essential in anyone's Steam library.
