been in my account for just under a week. already 60+ hours clocked. it's a good'n.

EDIT: these are not my words, but i felt they are an accurate representation of what has become of me after 2 years in this wonderful game.

"Because 2 barrels becomes 4 barrels becomes 180 barrels and you no longer have time to devote to caring for your farm because it takes so much time to harvest the fruit and cycle out the barrels. Eventually Abigail starts to resent you because you never give her kisses anymore and your kid gets addicted to joja cola because you're no longer around to be a father figure because you spend all of your time in the cellar pumping out fruit wine.

You stop taking quests. You stop mining. You stop fishing. You stop visiting grandpa. You even mute the game music because it reminds you of when you used to actually enjoy your farm, which just makes you more sad. Everything becomes all about money until you inevitably collapse from exhaustion and decide maybe it's time to take a break.

Flash forward 3 months and you start up a river farm, thinking it'll motivate you to change who you used to be, but it never does. The cycle repeats over and over until you're eventually drowning yourself in fruit wine irl. Which reminds me, I gotta go collect payment from Pierre." -/u/womm
