Does have a slight learning curve, the ingame tutorial is not that descriptive, so I recommend watching videos on YouTube. Youtubers like Shenryyr and Quill18 which have many videos on EU IV that will help you a lot.
I suggest that you buy the game, as it is very fun!!!!
