You think D4 build variety and itemization is trash ? Last Epoch does it better
You think PoE can't be played without a guide and is too hard to discover on your own ? Last epoch does it better

LE is simply amazing, it fixes almost all the issues other games in the genre have. Inventory management in this game really makes you wonder why we dealt with so much frustration in other games.

Builds are fun to do, experimenting is not punishing, quite the contrary. The low respec costs, the almost infinite inventory both encourage you to try new stuff.

It just became the best game in its category.

I will keep it short.
The game lives up to its legacy. It is very refreshing to have such hiqh quality writing nowadays.
Your choices have real consequences and the entire cast, be it companions or NPCs is amazing.
The combat is also great and whatever you think you can do in a given situation, there is at least a dozen you haven't thought about. The possibilities are endless.

This game is a must have for any RPG fan.

I'll keep it short.

I really wanted to love the game but after 9h, I can safely say I hate it deeply.

Gameplay is very clunky at best. Tutorials are terrible as usual, just walls of text to read in between missions.Game makes no effort to explain you how to move around the town or maps. Funny thing though : there one quest where a character is supposed to give you a tour of the city....sounds great right ? well, she brings you to a room, shows the the 20 NPCs in there, tell you to go talk to each of them and then puts you out of the building without showing anything else in the city.....

When you finally start to get out the city to basically kill stuff you don't get any clear indication as to when you should get back home, when you should level up or farm better gear. The game is just terribly confusing even though I played the previous SAO games, the lack of improvment just shows how little the devs care about improving the experience.

The story feels the same as any previous SAO games :

Kirito meets new girl with strange aptitudes and is so nice that she'll join the harem in no time. Except this time you don't play Kirito but another random character with no personality whatsoever that just ends up dragged into this because Kirito's new waifu happens to be your character's pet.

I bought this 27€ on sale, I would have refund it if I could. I tried to give the game a fair chance by trying to reach the 10h mark to see if it gets better but no luck.

Even if you like SAO and the world, this one is a very tough sale. It's a fanboy game, not a good game.

An absolute blast for completionists.

I have like 40 hours in there and I still feel like I'm about halfway through the main story.

It is easy to get lost and side tracked in Pragues, I have explored countless appartments, ducked for kilometers in vents, hacked hundreds of laptops even though I cool omnitool my way all the time.

The most amazing thing about this game is just slowly discovering new characters through hacking emails or infiltrating appartements, discover who they are what they do or hide, forget it and then randomly stumble upon someone or some communication that ties everything together.

I spent like 4 hours trying to get my way into the Palissade bank very early in the game, uncovered some nasty secrets, feeling like pulling off a big heist emptying almost all safes.....only to back way later with a huge amount of dirt on major corporations hiding assets into this bank.

You gotta delve into the lore and the atmosphere. And I'm not even gonna talk about the whole naturals vs augs which really brings a lot of interesting themes. A lot of questions, decisions, morals, ethics, racism, society, science, progress, evolution. Lot of different themes in this game.

The story makes a great job at letting you try to find your own answers and dig your way through a canvas made with the conflicting interests of many third parties.

The visuals are really good and brings to life a dark tale.

If you've loved human revolution and the original deus ex, chances are good you will love this one.

That game is an absolute masterpiece.

I was scared after First Chapter that SC would have trouble beeing better or even equal but waow. How far from the truth I was, the story is the best I have ever seen in a JRPG so far. It is deep, very deep, but it does not lose its way in its own complexity, everything has a meaning and a purpose. It is so well written and paced, I can't even imagine what TC will be like. The characters are a big part to the game's success, Estelle's journey from an annoying teenager to such a strong willed young woman was amazing to follow. Joshua, Oliver and all the supporting characters are all so fleshed out and not overlooked that it made this story feel like it was important to me.

That is a game that will leave a mark like not many other have managed to do. FF VI did that to me when I was 12, I didn't think a game would manage to do it again 18 years later to the adult I am now. It is hard to find that kind of experiences, it is a very rare and precious thing. I could not recommend this game enough.

The best way to learn guitar if you cannot get enough motivation by yourself.
