Performance is SOO bad. Don't reward this behaviour. Wait until it's on a massive sale and all the DLC is out.

We shouldn't HAVE to use frame gen and up-scaling to get a playable frame rate.

This really needs a thumb in the middle as my feelings so far are somewhere between recommended and not recommended so don't take this as a negative review, it's only that there is no option for mixed.

The combat sometimes feels a bit floaty. Attacks don't feel like they connect with the zombies and sometimes they will take damage not where you expect to hit.

The parkour doesn't feel quite as satisfying as dying light and feels like momentum is slower slower but you have a lot more options for movement which are a lot of fun.

I am not a fan of the in-game store with dying light currency micro currency. It makes it feel cheap. Dying light had lots of cosmetics but you could just buy the pack if you wanted. I hate how they did it in dying light 2.

There are some quality of life improvements in dying light 2 that I really wish were in dying light. Otherwise I think dying light is a very good game definitely worth playing through.

Honestly, I think the game would've been stronger if it picked a clearer direction. Either go all in on PvP with a PlanetSide 2 vibe—pick a faction, fight for control of Arrakis, represent your house—and keep the survival and crafting systems, just make the grind less of a chore. Or go full co-op/single-player with a proper story you can actually enjoy, with more focus on world-building and narrative than on crafting timers.

At its core, Dune Awakening feels most similar to V Rising. You're surviving a harsh environment, crafting gear, upgrading workstations, and repeating that loop with the next tier of resources. That part can be satisfying if you're into the survival grind—but outside of that, there’s not a lot of depth in any one area.

It's decent fun with friends, especially early on—but I don’t think it knows exactly what kind of game it wants to be, and that holds it back.

Wait for a few patches, right now the AI system seems to be broken (confirmed by devs on reddit and discord) and performance needs a lot of work, up-scaling and frame generation seems to be the only way to get reasonable fps but that leads to plenty of other issues with ghosting etc.

Best controller I've ever used.

With the success of steamdeck I really hope valve makes a steam controller 2

Below Zero feels like a linear story game, it has tight environments that funnel you straight to objectives and generally the game feel a lot less of a survival games compared to Subnautica.

Below Zero is still a good game, I would recommend Subnautica first to anyone who might be interested in the series and then to move onto Below Zero.

I don't know why but they changed the PDA voice and it can sometimes be hard to understand what it is saying. I do miss the cold uncaring voice from Subnautica.
