I like doing scav runs skulking around with an sks and pretending I'm a vietcong trying to ambush my better equipped invaders. I'm not sure why my npc brothers speak like rednecks or zombies, but they're trying their hardest so I try not to judge.

Surprisingly great game. The story/characters are barely there, but that's typical for these kinds of games. The combat is really fun and the platforming, exploration and side quests are good additions to level up. The combination of melee, magic and firearms to create combos is really fun and the combo meter actively rewards you for them with more XP to level up quicker as long as you don't get hit. The big guns and grenades seem a little tacked on but they can be useful from time to time. My main gripe is that I wish there were more weapons to try and that the upgrade system was more forgiving so that you could try more builds and synergies.

7.7/10 buy on sale.

Fun little ARPG that doesn't require a PHD in Autismology to make a good character.

Cute little indie shooter. Definitely worth the dollar I paid for it. Play it on Hard it increases the enemy count. The downside is that the pausing and saving system is kinda jank. 7/10 buy on sale.

As someone whos only played Skyrim and Oblivion, I'll say its both one of the greatest games I've ever played, but also not one I would recommend to everyone. The beginning is extremely hard. Nothing makes sense, theres no voice acting, nothing is explained and there are no waypoints. On top of that, you can't hit anything, move like a slug, and half your actions fail for no real reason. That said, I promise if you stick with it, you will go from a pathetic nobody to a literal god king one shotting most things and zipping across the map at super speed once you learn the mechanics. This game has enough content for 3-400 hours of questing easily and can't even be done in one playthrough.

For modding savvy people:

I'm sure boomers will not like hearing this, but I would recommend using Openmw, an updated game engine, and morrowind graphics overhaul and it will essentially remaster the game for you it really is stunning. I would also recommend using the voices of vvardenfell mod (with openmw patch) to give the game voice acting via AI. If you get stuck there is also no shame in just using the wiki after you've given it a good faith effort which makes the game infinitely less frustrating. Look up the automatic modlist installation guide on youtube by Gonzo Games. That is what I followed and it was easy enough but very long without nexus premium.

For modding unsavvy people:
Probably don't play it unless you're sure you're okay with the graphics as is.
9.5/10 recommend full price

A magical button to insert frame generation into nearly any game. Works great stabilizing fps on beefy games, or getting around hard 60fps caps. Would not recommend the resolution scaling because it looks fairly fuzzy compared to DLSS in my opinion but it is an option. Its cheap and it works idk what else to say 10/10.

If Splitgate 1 was halo with portals, then Splitgate 2 is Apex Legends with portals for all the positive and negative aspects those entail. Some will love the change and some will hate it, but I think either way it is a very competently made game even if I prefer the first one personally.

The controls are just...so bad. If you can get the Force Unleashed series running that's a much better place to start.

It's a great game but its not for everyone. Its extremely similar to the first one for better or worse. The combat, exploration and character creation are some of the best I've ever seen, but the story is forgettable and a lot of the quests are unintuitive and often need a guide to complete to not fail or miss significant parts of the game. The game can have performance issues at times, but I don't necessarily think its bad optimization because the graphics are also extremely good so its more of a trade off.

It had frustrations at parts, but ultimately just leveling my character with the great and varied combat mechanics, interesting progression and fun exploration was far and away much better than all of the annoyances combined. 8/10
