So I first saw this game as an ad on Facebook. The comments were all extremely positive. My first thought was, "looks like they made a bunch of accounts to promote this." Honestly though, this game is a ton of fun. If you enjoy Halo, I have a feeling that you will enjoy this as much as, if not more than Halo.

Early Access Review
With the original air drops, I was ready to get the refund and give SOE a big middle finger. BUT, since I had until Monday to return it... I figured I would give it a try.

Since the airdrop nerf... I absolutely love them. The majority of people that call them in have no gear at all, and in all honesty, are garbage at the game. I have not had less than 15 people all trying to contest it at the same time. Do I think that these should be paid for instead of just a random server event? Absolutely not. But I do have a blast laughing at the people that I just stole $5 from.

I don't find the zombies challenging at all, but they are still better than the zombies in SA. I have yet to see them glitch through floors/walls, and I have not been killed by any invisible zombies (or any zombies at all honestly.) The only thing that SA has on this game is the "eat all" option.

I'm not sure if loot respawns at all yet, because I have yet to find anything in a container. But I expected this coming in with 200 pop servers on a map ¼ of the size of Chernarus. The majority of loot that I get is off of other players/zombies, and through the missions that zombies drop (YES! Zombies actually have loot!)

They also have servers with different rules. They have PvE servers where you can't kill other players, and if you try to PvP, you get kicked pretty quickly. They also have servers where you can only kill zombies with headshots (FINALLY.) They already have Battle Royale and RP servers set up as well. You can do (almost) anything in this game that SA provides and more.

The best part of this game in my opinion is the fist fighting... there is just something so satisfying about punching someone in the face in this game.

You are never truly helpless in this game either. You can easily gather plenty of berries to make sure that you don't die of hunger/thirst (Yes... berries actualy help your thirst as well.) You can defend yourself by crafting a bow and arrows (really easy to craft.) You can also find branches and use them as a melee weapon. Of course players with guns will have the advantage, there is still a chance that you can beat them 1v1.

The devs have been constantly updating the game, and fixing bugs pretty quickly. I only hope that they continue this trend and get this game out of EA ASAP.

Is it worth paying for a game that will be free to play? Well it depends how you look at it. Right now I am having a blast with the game. I have gotten my $20 worth within the first week. I've paid way more for games that were terrible. BUT, the only way I would recommend paying the money, is if you have a spare $20 and you're bored of all of your other games. Because in reality, you're paying them to alpha test the game for them.
