I tried this game on free to play weekend. It feels like a fat blob is pushing around an axe. This game is so boring it makes reading an organic chemistry book's index look like a roller coaster ride. Ubisoft, just hang it up. I don't know how you can make newer games feel worse than the older games. Odyssey was more fun than this and this has promise. This is basically like sitting through a terrible movie just because the scenery was good but the logic. conflicts and dialogue was bloody trash. I pity you. They are afraid to depict vikings as the savage pillaging marauders that they were. Eivor is a cuddly care-bear and the saxons are depicted as rubes. Not to mention all the religious bias from a supposed team of various faiths etc.... This is how I've felt about Ubisoft games for years now. Tedious time wasting, bloated, filler stuffed garbage with a thinly trickled plot that may or may not be interesting running through the middle of it.

As someone who has played the original Chivalry and Mordhau, this game is absolutely terrible. The animations are poor, the fundamental mechanics are poor and the matchmaking is abysmal. I am level 10 and get paired with level 400+ in 1v1 duels.

Mordhau is an incredible game compared to this but it's just dead. Absolute shame. Do not spend any money on this crap. It's playerbase shrinks by the month. Entirely regret my purchase.

This game is a prime example of why MMOs are dying. The greed is real, and you are always lulled into spending irl cash - for the tiniest amount of upgrade.

If you play without the intention of spending any irl cash, you are never going to catch up. Several systems are encouraging you to throw irl cash at what essentially is a lottery system.

The potential this game had was wrecked hard by the greed of the devs.

Hot ass garbage cheater infested game made worse by transitioning to f2p to milk microtransactions just a little while longer before it dies out completely.

This is a AAA game at AAA price with gacha mechanics and an overload of DLCs, that may or may not have integral power content locked behind them. The main appeal seems to be the online PvP, as according to other users you'll run out of things to do very fast.
In a PvP-centric game where power-content is gated behind paid DLC and gacha mechanics, you can guess how good that is.
To top it off, online pvp experience is dreadful and infested with cheaters & hackers.

Probably the best handing model and career mode in an F1 game ever. The MyTeam career mode is perfect for the full F1 experience.
Tracks could be improved as majority are not laser-scanned, compared to other racing games.
Pros:
- Improved FFB but still not at the level of ACC, AC, RaceRoom, etc.
- Feeling of brakes, traction and aero now a lot better compared to previous titles.
- Cars are actually a lot fun to drive now.
- Virtual Mirrors, F-FINALLY!
- Dash cluster can be set to still be visible on cockpit view. I wish the gear number and lights can further be separated and placed by itself though.
- It has Zandvoort.

Cons:
- Cars still have way limited front tire turning angles hence the feel of understeer at low speeds. Still can't make the bollards without touching them at Monza turn 1 runoff. I use 270 degrees on my steering wheel because the 360 degrees shown in the game animation is just that: animation. Game's still primarily designed for thumbsticks.
- It still has that unpredictable slow speed snap oversteer that I absolutely never feel in the FFB. Assetto Corsa 1 still does it way better on its open wheelers.
- Some practice programmes on certain modes are too gamified IMHO. They still make you do exaggerated actions that you just won't do on the game's actual race events.
- Still doesn't combine all PU adjustments into a unified STRAT/ENGINE dial like real life. It's still separate Engine and ERS modes and such yet the STRAT dial has been said to be the thing the real F1 drivers touch. Also, the way the engine modes are named seem outdated. Lean, Rich? What are these WWII aircraft engines?
- Shouldn't there be no MAX engine mode for only used during qualifying? Or shouldn't we have access to that now during races? The official regulations have banned party modes already.
- Still could only change DIFF on power during racing. DIFF on coast can only be changed in garage.
- Doesn't reflect the real F1 2020 calendar. Of course Covid-19 happened. No Mugello, Portimao and Imola.
- The F2 cars still feel like their center of gravity is too high, have piss poor brakes and have no downforce. Not fun to drive at all.

Neutral:
- My Team premise is so unbelievable wherein you are a 16-24 year old driver who not only does everything that it takes company boards to do, you are also one of the team's drivers. It might've been possible during the classic F1 times but it's a total fantasy nowadays. But this mode is FUN. I just wish pay drivers actually "pay".

Conclusion:
It may seem like I'm a sim-racing nerd slagging the game but, NO! For me this is the best F1 title Codemasters have ever released. I love Assetto Corsa Competizione but it just doesn't have any fun single player component. F1 2020 may just be around 45-75% simulation but TBH I'm having almost as much fun driving the cars here too. Yeah, it's still has that unpredictable slow speed snap oversteer that I absolutely never feel in the FFB but if I keep that in mind I just have a blast with it.

TL;DR
This was once a good game until everything was put into DLCs.
You now have to spend literally 200 USD (160€) to have "a game".

Very nice city simulation. I especially like the vehicle traffic... jk

BUT!
1. The DLC policy is cancerous in a way that Paradox is taking to new heights (CK2, Stellaris, HOI...).
The DLC scheme is so appalling that I simply can't in any serious mind recommend this product. It just silly to expect your customers to pay for every single basic feature and such huge prices. Maybe if these DLCs were priced closer to their actual worth and desirability I might recommend but right now there is no way I would support this behavior.
2. The game quickly becomes a traffic manager as soon as any major population size is met, and it's really tedious. The AI for traffic is pretty bad and it really relies on mods to try and fix it. A game should be accentuated by mods, not rely on it to fix it.
3. It's all too utopian, which I know is a bit of weird criticism. The original SimCity series felt far grungier, with gritty, melancholy music, and the potential for whole swathes of dismal city blocks that looked like something out of the suburbs of Mega-City One. Given Simcity 2000 was release in the early 90's, there's a definite vibe of the 80's depression era. City games *should* have slumps, depressions, crime, social issues, challenges in terms of society and culture. Not once, no matter how big my city get in CS, did it feel like my city was anything more than a larger version of Pleasantville full of happily medicated cims.

Although, the ~200 bucks price tag for full game is pretty funny since many consider 70 excessive. Just hold my beer, right?

By far most boring and uninteresting of all AC games. Slow and lame, both story and main characters poorly written and lame without a pinch of charisma or depth, even the history part makes you sleepy and makes you want to skip everything (which I do). Parkour is clumsy and annoying most of the times, combat and even menu navigating not a bit intinituive at its best.
I got it for free along with Liberation (AC: Odyssey Gold Edition) and I will finish both as much as painful it may be, for the sole reason that this are the only AC sequels I did not play (and now I remember why) and I am a completionist by nature.
Still, it is remarkable how sleepy this game makes me, like watching most boring documentary you can think of.
Not worth it, not even on like 75% discount. Better buy yourself a cup of coffee or something.
