When I was 8 years old, my parents moved into a new subdivision. This pretty brown tabby walked up to me while I was playing in our back yard. It looked hungry so I fed it minnows that my dad had bought for fishing. He came home and caught me and he said that I did the right thing. He grumbled about the kitten, but she slept in his lap while he watched TV. I let her sleep on my bed and she would suckle on my earlobes. She would do it for a few minutes and sleep on my head. I hadn't thought about this in years. Thanks for reminding me.
