There are times in this game where you don't get at all why the reviews are so low, then you encounter some awkward encounter, usually against things much bigger than you are, and you find yourself going "ahhh, ok, maybe this is why".

There's not much to say negative about the story, especially with Darth Vader being such a big part of the game. That part will hook you.

A lot of the against infintry combat works as well as the variety of powers you have, from force pushing, force grabbing, force mind control, and force lightning doing the job of making you feel all jedi-y and giving you the proper thrill.

But then you encounter a big vehicle or creature and that fun kinetic thrill ride grinds to a halt, and you to a very basic series of things to defeat your foe. They grow to be very mind numbing sequences.

It's hard to not recommend this to someone desperate to scratch a Star Wars itch. It does do that job. Just be prepared for a degree of repetitiveness and monotany.

The art style is definitely a little tough to take, but the gameplay is very interesting. I wouldn't say it's better than Hearthstone however, while Hearthstone is most definintely a chore in ranked play, Arena has been a good source of fun for me. Naturally I tend to stick to Shadowverse's version of it labelled "take 2" where you are presented with 4 cards, and you have to take either the left 2 or right 2. While that mode is relatively fun I have found that the amount of cards you can't actually interact with takes a lot of the enjoyment out of the game. The game has it's charm, but the combo of art and baffling mechanics, that perhaps make a little more sense when you can construct your deck to counter that stuff(maybe) has brought me to uninstall it after a day. But don't get me wrong, it is absolutely worth checking out.
