The gameplay itself is quite fun especially on harder missions and the multiplayer co-op especially with friends can make the endless hours of play very worth the purchase. What I can't stand is the fact I get framelocked between 20-30 fps despite having a modern PC with a 3060 inside of my PC and I have had to spend hours trying to fix a problem the devs have known about for a while. (WITH NO FIX STILL) This doesn't always happen but my god is it frustrating to go through the back end to .ini files for a consumer to ensure the game is loading as sufficiently as possible and for someone whos paid nearly £400 for the graphics cards, drivers and the game itsel, getting framelocked kills my mood the moment it does load.

Simply the best narrative story-telling game of the 21st century and nothing will come close.

I am not great at Real-Time Strategy games, however FrostPunk has to be one of the best I have played. The challenge of changing weather, societies needs and abundance or lack of resources makes every single new play through a lot of fun. The amount of replayability from the multiple scenarios and the endless modes means there are many different methods to try out to keep your city alive and thriving. I've easily sunk 72 hours into the game and I could put in 1000 happy more hours. The Expansion packs are fantastic and worthy every penny. I highly recommend you buy this game. (The next part relates to some of the expansion content, don't let my personal experience from stopping you buying this game.)


I did find that I needed to look up a few Youtube tutorials to help me find some of the early game benefits to keep the city active and thriving and I am still struggling to barely scrape by the first storm in the Endless Endurance modes. However I do keep coming back, hopeful at trying new things to keep my cities working like clockwork even if I continue to find myself in a struggle in day 20+.

Honestly had more time on the Xbox version, But its a very good substitue to arma so long as you play with a controller and you have figured out the control scheme.

The honest amount of horrible smurf matchmaking i have had over my past year has pissed me off to the point i cant even look at this game twice.
Uninstall 2016, VAC doesnt work, and smurfs shouldnt be allowed for their cancerous games to invade those who are trying to improve.
