A lot of fun alone or with friends.
Modding community is amazing.
The game is challenging, rewarding and punishing. Once established you can run out of things to do or get bored with a play-through. You can edit difficulty and sandbox if you want so it can be as easy or as difficult as you want it to be.

I'll be honest. This has to be one of the best ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ survival game I've ever played. The only other game I have more hours in is world of warcraft, and that's only because I've played it off an on for over 15 years. It get's boring after a bit, but it's always fresh and enjoying starting over or making head-canon for the game and your character, and as said above some mods will facilitate that. Content drops are slow, but there's so much in this game that it's hard to put down.

It's Halo.

I remember being 12 to 14 and playing the hell out of this game. I still have the hard copy sitting around back home, and I would dust it off every once in a while and get with it. However I felt a since of longing, seeing how all of my time playing was done on the zone.com and gamespy arcade online. I feel that if AoE2 has an HD remake and online support, this game should follow suit. This is one of the few games I've went back to many times to play, and have always had fun while doing so. This RTS paved the way for my horizons to broaden with games like StarCraft and Warcraft 3.

You know, there's something I dislike about Survival horror games like DayZ, H1Z1, Infestation: Survivor storiers (don't even wast your insults on that piece of garbage). It is... well... Apocalypse happens, zombies take over, time has elapsed and you play your character, right? So, if there has been time passed, it would say your survivor isn't so bad at surviving. Hence crafting. So why is it, in each one, that you start out with:
-1 flashlight
-bandages (h1z1 gives you more at start, which I like for being new to that particular game)
-rations of some type
So, is that how you survived months of the zombie uprising? with less than bare minimum suvival gear? yet police and military personnel armed to the teeth with weapons and rations just kill over?
I'm not hating on this game, it's not bad. I'm just explaining it's weird how they give you nothing, and put you somewhere random that has a chance to have no loot at all. Just beware, though. Don't go to a PvP server and expect anyone to be your friend. They sacrificed their own pants in order to make a bow to murder you with, after all. :P
