shockingly ok
got it on a 92% sale. had around 30k players online
gameplay, optimization (80fps on high preset 1440p, 3060 ti) and everything is pretty good
old battlefield titles felt better than this one. It's still good but not Battlefield 3 or 4 good
the finals is better tho

if it becomes free to play (or like $5), must try
full price? I'd rather spend it on hookers

crash simulator, keeps crashing every time you start a session/scenario, and only re-installing the game seems to fix it temporarily, until it starts crashing again

difficulty-wise, the game is EXTREMELY HARD at the start, nearly impossible to win cause you don't have any advisors/characters unlocked
the game is clearly balanced around playing with a full team of hand picked characters
either that or you'd have to pick the easy difficulty, which is too easy to play and offers no challenge whatsoever

without crashes, it's an 8/10.
But because I had to reinstall it like 4 times, 2/10, not recommended, ♥♥♥♥ port.

cons:
- literally no mouse support, you're forced to play with a controller
- even when using a controller, the controls are weird. AND YOU STILL NEED A KEYBOARD, some buttons (example, the menu button) can't be pressed on my controller (oh yeah, it's F1 on the keyboard. not ESC. that button does nothing)
- cutscene blackscreens: probably the second worst issue cause you can't even enjoy the only good thing in the game. (the story)
looking in the game files. the cut scenes are literally just .WMV files, how this studio is unable to write code to play a video is beyond my understanding.
usually you can skip these blackscreens by spamming space, the skip button (there's no skip button on the controller)
- crashes : you're about to finish a mission that took around 30 minutes and you're fighting the end boss? okay, how about you do that all again, like, 3 or 4 times in a row hoping it's not gonna crash this time.
- resolution/graphics: you're limited to either 30 or 60 fps, and resolutions go up to 1080p. nothing more.
the graphics are very limited. and the barely make a difference in-game.
- stuff, objects, or enemies sometimes will not load until you're in front of them.
if you're streaming the game on discord. they won't load at all bro don't worry.
- audio can be funky at times. but it's not really bad compared to the other things.
- the game fully locks you in, making you unable to exit (any windows shortcut won't work) when in fullscreen mode, forcing most players to play the game in windowed mode.
- i think the day of judgement will happen and i'll be taken to heaven before a developer will remember of this game's existence, they fully abandoned it, don't expect updates.
- besides the technical issues, the game is originally written in Japanese and translated to English (no dubbing so you'll have to read each and every subtitle to understand what's going on). Yet still, I've spotted many false translations that can make completing certain objectives harder due to the bad explanation given.
not a big issue however because the translations are half-decent.
- the game autosaves only after completed missions. meaning if you do some upgrades before you quit. they won't be saved.
- gameplay-wise. only a bunch of characters have kinda good combos. giving you a large variety of viable moves to choose from. While most either have one or two decent move. or all bad moves.
- special "treasure" events in missions will force you to replay missions up to four times just to finish them (some only happen with a specific character and you can get multiple of them in a single mission).
- hancock has a move that literally gives a footjob to your enemies (I know that's a pro for you)
- some cracked repack versions have fixed half of the issues here. yet this is still pure dumpster fire
pros:
-Luffy
conclusion: Luffy

Important for everyone's safety:
saw a few posts of people complaining about the invasion of privacy in this game's TOS and privacy policy, keep in mind last time I played it is like 3 years ago now
so i checked the TOS and Privacy policy and here's the short version.

the information they're permitted to share to third-party-advertisers to serve you targeted advertising are:
-Delivery address,
-IP address,
-Email address,
-Telephone number,
-Name (real name) + online username,
-Date of birth,
-Gender,
-Purchase history,
-Interests,
-Preferences,
-Information about how you use their "Service" (Game history, Hours, Scores, Levels, Etc.),
-Feedback,
-Contest participations,
-Survey responses,
-Any information you provide to the support team (literally everything you send them),
-Passwords (they probably won't do that, but you've given them consent),
-"Communication preferences" (don't know what this means),
-Browser Information and Plug-ins,
-Time zones,
-Operating system and platform "and other technology on the devices you use to access our Services"

I'm guessing some of the things mentioned aren't acquired from the game, but from their websites (like the support thing and browser stuff) and yet just accepting the game's stuff gives them all of this, that's probably why they kept referring to DBD as a "Service".

What's a little weird is that they claim ads ONLY come from their email newsletter, why all that information is needed then?

For anyone interested in reading it themselves, check the 2.1 section from the privacy policy, then scroll down and you'll eventually find the purpose/activity for personalized/targeted advertising where they basically say everything is given on the legal bases of "Your consent".

So yeah, can't support such developers and game when they're this invasive.
Go F yourselves BHVR.
