Not the same as the typical RF series considering it is a spin-off, but very fun nonetheless. My suggestion is to treat it as an entirely new game borrowing some RF elements than expecting it to be full RF.

The game tricks you to believe it's about school building when in reality you're in a gacha game for students with the correct element, stats, and then relics.

Ok, to be fair, it is about school building, just that things will shift late game when building is no longer an issue.

10/10 will recommend.

Great storyline, great characters, great OST. What can I say more?

I would say Coral Island fit everything I wished from a farming sim game. While I wouldn't consider it being completed yet, considering the promised child age-up is not around until v1.3, I do see it as a good time to start the game with the current patch. The storyline, or should I say, the things needed to do inside the game are so plenty that you are likely occupied until that particular patch drops.

The bad thing about this game, as you might already read from other reviews, would be the game is fairly grindy as you pretty much asked to complete museum to progress in Town Rank. Not impossible but it can be annoying that's for sure if that's not what you like to do (aka me). There are mods to help though, so long you know where to find it to adjust the game to your flavour.

The reward in completing the long quests are not entirely satisfying but I'll not nitpick on this, seeing how many features the game are offering to the players.

The game is still buggy, especially barrels in the shed when combined with Auto Chest. Still, it can be fixed with a simple pickaxe, so I can close one eye on this.

Overall, as much as I want to give a thumbs up for the game... with the ongoing MIA promised patch.. eh, we'll see how it'll go.

PS: I seriously don't think it's a good idea to restart a fresh new game when new patch drop. I dread the idea of restarting museum cause.. dear gracious, please no.

What's better than disappointing your parents both in real life and virtual life? 10/10

First of all, this game is absolutely adorable. It is casual and surely a mix of Pokemon and Stardew Valley. Now, even though I mention Stardew Valley, do be noted that you don't exactly have to farm for it to be your main source of income. Breeding itself can be used as a money making method, given you know what you're doing.

The weeks are fairly short and it took some time to get used to, but it is not detrimental imo. The only part which irks me would be how time runs equally fast in the outer world and the ruins (dungeon, if it relates better). The first ruin world is surprisingly hard, but the developer did mention a word on reducing its difficultly.

The variety of blobs are humongous and you can literally breed anything to your imagination so long you have the right combo and a certain luck.

My giveaway to anyone new, at least in this period, would be starting out with a Fire blob. Water and Grass type are easily come across, but it's a bit tricky in getting a fire type. Keep in mind that starting out with water type does not necessary means you unlock the key for having a watering helper. That one is from somewhere else, which I wouldn't be spoiling.

Overall, I am absolutely satisfied with the gameplay and looking forward when it is officially released!

The game is fun, no doubt, but I can't recommend it until the developer actually show us they are not treating us players as fools. Promises they made are always pushed back again and again.

Yeah, 1.0 and official release is finally coming after delaying for more than a year, BUT THERE'S A CATCH, features that are promised in 1.0 is suddenly pushed back to 1.1 and 1.3? What is this? It feels like a gimmick because they suddenly released Sun Down as a full game out of nowhere so they had to rush a wrap up for Sun Haven 1.0 before the players get pissed.

You have the resources to make another game out, yet you didn't focus on delivering the promises in Sun Haven. Should I even mention how you asked player base help in translation but is super unresponsive when the volunteering translators ask about proper context about the dialogues etc?

Until the developers show the players some respect, I don't think I want to recommend the game even when I liked it a lot. :/
