I liked the game. Simple and effective formula.

Mid game at best. It's like playing sci-fi GTA V with updated graphics, but worse in almost every way.
The sheer amount of content the developers promised with this game and simply did not end up implementing alone is criminal. There is no vehicle customization, weapon customization is a joke, interactivity with the environment is basically non-existent, nothing changes based on your actions (even the plot) with the exception of minor dialogue options, but worst of all, they are practically refusing to actually fix the game. Oh, don't think I forgot about multiplayer lol.

They released a couple of fixes, which still are not anywhere near enough to simply fix the game, nevermind actually patching it or giving it content so it even gets close to what the promised product was. There were virtually zero content updates other than a minor housing expansion too. Thank god modders are out there still trying to add stuff to the game.

"Oh, but what about Phantom Liberty" you might ask. Sure, that looks cool. Let's wait to see how many new bugs come with it. It's also the only and final DLC update for the game??!! People were asking for patience with the game since the Witcher 3 had updates for a long time, yeah no that isn't happening here.

People who enjoy this game, imo, are 90% just people who did not know about the promised content and jumped in after watching the anime series. Nothing against them, I'm glad they enjoyed the game. But this should not detract from the fact that this game is a borderline scam product.

Great game, just wish the controls were better.
Also, mixed feelings about Rockstar Games® not releasing a sequel. On one hand, I really want a sequel. On the other, with the direction Rockstar Games® is going in their development practices, I know they would ruin this franchise.

Amazing game.
Nothing else has to be said.

I know I wrote that I do not recommend this game, but honestly it's a 50-50 to me.
I want to love this game. The core mechanics are super fun, and most weapons are fun to use. It's everything you'd want after Vermintide II. Oh also, the music is awesome.
But that's it. That's all that is good about the game.
The achievements are god awful to go for, with some being so stupidly difficult to get you either have to abuse glitches or just give up on getting them. The cosmetics are mid at best. The weapons, while fun to use, are unbalanced. Weapons are really good at one thing, but really awful at another. The server performance is somehow getting worse every day when it should be going the other way around. Level design is uninspired and honestly lazy. There are only like 2 bosses in the game, and they aren't that fun to play against. Also, where is the lore???? Just 4 cutscenes of nonsense?
Then, my greatest problem with the game: updates. Where on earth are the content updates? We just got a mini feature update, but that was more so a rearrangement than actual new content. I just pray that FatShark does not abandon this game in this state like Turtle Rock did with Back 4 Blood.

Please, fix the game. I want to love this game.

- Balance is a joke, whether that is about map design or Russian vehicles.
- Devs are extremely greedy with paid content and screwing over players with a terrible in-game economy.

Call of Duty® games have been soulless for a while (with the exception of Modern Warfare® 2019), so criticizing a Call of Duty® game for being soulless is essentially beating a dead horse now.
What I do expect out of Call of Duty® games is dumb fun. Run around, play with fun gunplay, and just do stuff without really thinking. This game really eliminated a lot of that joy.
Multiplayer maps are uninspired and the devs obviously took less than 1% of their time developing this game actually working on something else than Warzone 2.0. All the maps are essentially fractions of Warzone 2.0 maps, and there are only about 4 or 5 maps in other gamemodes like Invasion or Ground War.
Camping has somehow become more ingrained into the game than ever. You find people on roofs sniping for 90% of the game, with us unable to do anything about them in most games. You also find people just hiding in a corner holding weird angles for a large portion of the game.
Worst of all, the gunplay is just weird now. Including recoil in a videogame is fine, but recoil in this game just causes your gun to bounce all over the place. There is nothing skill-based here, it's just dumb.
The battle pass. Oh boy, what I can say about this. You cannot simply release a game for $69.99 and ask us to buy battle passes with pay to win items (dual kodachis). That is just plain greed, and it's obvious. If you released a free game and wanted to make money through cosmetics and battle passes, sure. But that's not what happened, is it?
My main question is: what is the actual direction with this game? Is it purely just a cashgrab? If so, the developers of Activision have done a magnificent job. Did you want to create a slow paced tactical game? Errrr, all you did is make it easier for campers, there is no tactical thinking or skill-based gameplay.
Don't get me wrong, I want to like the game. I really do. But oh my god, the flaws overshadow the good parts of this game too much.

Garbage game. I got excited after left 4 dead 2, but oh boy I was wrong.
The mechanics are pretty garbage, there are only 2 classes that really do damage and everything else is kind of useless.
Balance is a joke in this game, and the only thing dumber than dialogue in this game is the AI.

Although when I purchased this game I could find more people against recommending the game, I enjoyed the game anyway. Yes, I do agree with the others that the game seemed rather short and the areas were smaller than Borderlands 2, and that vehicle handling was somewhat harder. However, when I play any Borderlands game, I play for the story more than the actual shooting, though shotting still accounts for a lot in this game for me. The story, in my opinion, was very well made in order to bridge a path in between the first game and the second game. I believe this can also account for the shortness of the game, as it would be hard to add too much into the story here since the new details could be contradictory to either of the games. As for driving, I don't really blame 2K Australia or Gearbox for the controls. I think the vehicles should've been harder to control as it was the moon, not an actual planet with stronger gravity. As for characters, I found it interesting to bring characters from Borderlands 2. However, I found it that only Athena was worthy to play for me, maybe it was because her special ability was more powerful, or maybe it was because her part of the story was much stronger. Honestly, I felt like the game was focused on Athena and Handsome Jack's story a little too much if the makers wanted to include the other characters, but since I played Athena, it wasn't a problem for me. Overall, I did enjoy this game a lot, and hope to see another Borderlands game. For those who want to continue in the story, I recommend you go play Tales from the Borderlands, it actually continues the story in a somewhat direct way. Oh, almost forgot, the DLCs for this game.... That was the one thing I had a complaint about, they do way too less. Anyway, sorry I had to make you go through this long comment, just for the record, I wanted to put a potato in this post.
