An Idiot's Dark Souls III Review

Without a shadow of a doubt one of the - if not the - best game(s) i have ever played.
Below, I've listed some things I really liked and some that I didn't like as much:

(Those are spoiler free.)

Pros:
- an amazing soundtrack, which is inexplicably not listed among the tags of this game. Seriously, the composers went above and beyond to make sure every bossfight is not just a gameplay experience, but rather an entire work of art, and mirroring the boss, their lore and their motivations to fight the player in a ridiculously good soundtrack to an already amazing game.
- despite being a dark souls game, it's very reasonable to get into this game with the bosses scaling at a very good rate with the player. Occasionally, some walls in form of tough bosses will appear to make sure you're not underleveled going forward into the tougher areas of the game.
- this game has a large variety of entities functioning as bosses, including (but not limited to):
- a tree
- a giant
- a dragon
- a demon (more than one if you count the DLC's)
- an amalgamation of every prior dark souls' final boss
- a very well designed online feature (that as of Aug 26th should work again) with different rewards for different covenants

Cons:
- a few too many gimmick fights that feel very unintuitive (hit the bosses weak spot 3 times, OHKO a boss via special mechanic, etc.), i personally like fights to be very skill dependant and ones that really test your ability to punish the bosses for their mistakes while avoiding punishment by not making any mistakes yourself
- exploration is not just emphasised, it's actively mandatory to progress at a reasonable pace or even at all ( e.g. finding Farron Keep or the elevator to the 4th Lord of Cinder). This can be difficult in some of the harder areas at a low vigor level

All in all, this is a fantastic game for anyone stupid enough to torture themselves with difficult gameplay, but want to be rewarded by progressing further and further through the game.

Thank you for taking the time to get this game recommended to you. :)

If the amount of hours i spent in this game are any indication, go figure.
