honestly quite well made chapter that is receiving a lot of hate because it's not predator. the survivors are definitely the high light of this chapter, the killer is just kind of okay? not disappointed with her but compared to the last few killers it's just not for me.

I want to start by listing the few things that Video Horror Society does wrong:

There are some perks in the game *cough cough* Lethal Weapon *cough cough* that enables boring playstyles from the Monster side. You can find games where you will get absolutely stomped by a W.A.R.T that continuously tunnels you because they know you can only take 4 hits for the whole match before being out of the game.

The game has an insanely high skill floor. It takes a lot of effort to pick up Video Horror Society, as the mechanics aren't as simple as they are shown to you. The tutorial isn't very fleshed out, so you go in thinking you understand what you're supposed to do: craft a weapon, run up to the monster, and hit 'em with it. You then get hit before you're even able to use your weapon and eventually get downed. The devs currently advertise watching content creators to learn the strategies of the game.

The game has a small playerbase, which can sometimes result in one-sided matches where one side is much more skilled than the other, or queues can last 10+ minutes to find a game. This isn't something the devs can control directly, but they do not advertise their game as much as they should, which leads you to only find it from hearing about it from content creators or friends.

Sometimes the audio in the game feels off. I don't really know how to explain it, but it is definitely present.

These are my main concerns for the game. However, I feel like there are plenty of positives that outweigh these negatives:

The game has a different type of flow than other 4v1 games that is more engaging than others. Games can be very intense and filled with fun interactions between the two sides.

The character designs are very well-crafted, each Teen and Monster oozes with personality just from their unique animations alone.

Alongside this, the level design in the game is absolutely gorgeous. They fit the 80's aesthetic so well. My personal favorite by design is Hotel, which is definitely inspired by the 80's classic, The Shining.

Each stigma has 3 different weapons which each enable a different kind of playstyle. These 12 weapons will dictate how you will want to play, and you can craft any at whatever time you want.

I actually love how little perks matter in the game. Yes, there are a fair share of good perks in the game, but you don't need them to feel safe in the game. I started playing Jess (she is known to have probably the worst perks in the entire game) in the beginning, and I still haven't felt like I needed a perk to survive.

Making a play in Video Horror Society will put you on a crazy adrenaline high like no other game. Every time I make a good play, I am absolutely ecstatic.

Each monster has it's own weaknesses, so each one also has it's own playstyle. This makes it feel like every single match is a different type of game.

While the game has a high skill floor, after you begin to pick it up, you're in for a treat. The gameplay of VHS is incredibly engaging and the matches feel very fair from both sides. You can bring back a losing situation just from performing smart plays.

The game has it's flaws, but it is in an Early Access release. It has a fair load of potential, but it's up to the devs to make the few changes it needs in order for it to be perfect.

Going from Resident Evil 7 to Resident Evil Village is absolutely groundbreaking. Ditching the storage box for a puzzle-esque larger inventory is very engaging and convenient. They also improved their take on the silent protagonist, Ethan Winters. He rose from being a blank slate in 7, where the only thing he had to say was exclamatory swear words, to a fully fledged and interesting character. Every character in Village also oozes with personality, and the story is extremely fun and action-packed. Village also has many challenges you can do for a second playthrough. Definitely worth the price tag it carries.

(easily the best game they've made with the new RE engine)

welcome back to my 500th review of dead by daylight, because this game changes at such a rapid pace and sometimes it's gas and sometimes it's ass.

Currently, I'd say DBD is pretty gas. This past year has been great for the game as the devs seem to finally be changing the things that were necessary (i.e. meta shakeup, nurse changes, buffing solo queue with new info). It's kind of hard to be upset with the game due to how fast it's been changing,and in this past year it's almost always been for the best.

I'd say the main issue dbd faces right now is the issue with tunneling and camping. There are no current proposed changes, but I'm hoping that they'll continue to improve the game in a similar way as the past year has filled me with an ungodly amount of hope for the game.

If the developers keep up the current way they're updating the game, it will continue to improve and become one of the better multiplayer experiences you can choose to play right now.
