Extremely satisfying to watch your little village grow and evolve as you place more and more buildings. A highly highly soothing experience well worth the purchase price.

Simple controls and strategies but a fair amount to keep in mind for the later game big money buildings.

This is the best 2D fighting game I've played. Full stop.

It's approachable and I've gotten multiple friends into fighting games with it.

Excellent graphics, good netcode, absolutely killer sound track, it's a bit of a performance hog and you'll need to turn down settings pretty harshly on lower end machines.

Each character has a unique set of tools, and levelling up through the different levels of gameplay had been incredibly rewarding. Basic footsies + gattlings -> frame traps -> oki mix-ups -> burst/reversal baits -> BRC/PRC play. It's all so good and so rewarding and the ladder system is very good.

I'd love to see some more single player content and the training mode is a little janky but is pretty revolutionary in teaching you fundamentals and higher level gameplay. But the combo mode is an absolute god send.

If you like fighting games or are looking to get into them, this is absolutely worth it.

Not very deep into the game but here are some notes:
- Combat is challenging and highly rewarding. This the the core gameplay and absolutely carries the experience. I cannot stress how unique and engaging the combat is, and how that alone is worth the price tag.
- I really like the minimalist (read: complete lack of) UI, really helps getting into the zone.
- Invisible walls and invisible death zones so far have been, questionable to say the least.
- Story and writing is uncompelling and very stilted.
- Music is nothing to write home about but doesn't detract from the experience.
-Graphics are good, it's performance on the steam deck, but it's nothing mind blowing. It's got strong well polished indy Made-With-Unity vibes.

Overall worth the value, especially on sale.

I was expecting this to be a combination of Factorio, and No Man's Sky, both games I love. But this honestly feels like the worst of both worlds.

It doesn't have an early hook, some form of accomplishment in the first five minutes where I could go "yeah, my game-life is tangibly better" or a sense of curiosity of "ohhhhh, what's that". I went from click and hold to produce resource, to click and hold to produce different resource, but in a different building. Trying to figure out which building to go to was also a pretty big barrier.

Overall I spent close to an hour of slogging around, I didn't feel like I had accomplished anything that would remotely accelerate my future slogging, and that was with the help of two experienced friends.

Performance and graphics look very polished. Might come back when there's a better tutorial.

Do you want compelling dialogue, intuitive controls, cool game mechanics, and the feeling like you're playing in a larger world? Then this game isn't for you! With broken promises, bad first time user experiences, and visual bugs galore, the game is very pretty. I'm on a GTX 1080, 16GB of RAM, and a Ryzen 5 with the NVIDIA day 1 cyberpunk drivers for reference.

The big sell for me was having different life paths be something that's meaningful for replayability and as a way to explore the lore. Instead they all converge less than an hour in, with only dialogue delineating them. Other promises broken include cool guns, the gun play in the tutorial felt soft and spongy, the indication you were being shot at was pretty subtle, and the aim-assist for controller was completely broken.

How my one-hour lets play would go:
> My character looks nothing like what I made because the lighting in the character creator is so different
> Load in at about 8fps. I tried hitting start to open the setting menu and I get a "You can't do this right now" message. I play with 8 fps for a solid minute before finding out select opens the menu and I'm able to fix it.
> The huge deadzones in the controller settings make it feel like I'm two bottles of wine in, spend some time fixing that.
> 20 minutes of dialogue later it's starting to show that the feminine V voice lines were recorded separately, the tone and pacing of the dialogue responses just doesn't line up.
> Cutscene with dialogue that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, assets literally spawning in view of the cutscene
> ANOTHER dialogue that doesn't explain anything with a dude who just tried to ♥♥♥♥ me over
> ANOTHER cutscene explaining to me that this dude, who I don't even like, is now my best friend, while showing me gameplay I've waiting to do
> My life-path prologue is over now I guess, I'm also apparently best friends with Jackie who I feel like I don't even know
> Spend 10 minutes fiddling with aim curve in the sequence breaking combat tutorial only to bust out my keyboard and mouse because aim assist is completely broken.
> Guns, enemies, and incoming bullets all feel spongy
> Die in the tutorial twice because don't even notice that I'm being shot at.
> Enemies generally don't react to being hit.
> Melee hits are completely disjointed
> Hacking feels like a complete afterthought, the controls are clunky and the application is clearly narrow.

At this point, I've spent over an hour being frustrated by technical issues, while the game pulls me along by my arm telling me to do things I don't want to. The whole time I just want to play around and get a feel for the game. I look around for tips on how to enjoy the game and read that I can't change my character after the misleading character creator and the heavy immersion breaking tutorials keep on coming.

Thanks for the refund steam!

Lots of innovative mechanics make a very cool rouge like.
I would like to see more tutorial and demo information as it's difficult to "get good" with only trial an error.

Purchased before the big 2017 update but it was still worth it then, I only imagine the performance has gone way up. While a little short, this dungeon crawler is very engaging and immersive. It's a little buggy but much better than any of the other RPG/dungeon crawler titles I've tried out there.

The world feels kind of flat, as in the assets/world interaction feels a little underdeveloped. While still worth the purchase, it's probably the longest VR room escape title out there, there are some immersion breaking moments when there are random items on tables I am unable to pick up. That said, it is miles ahead of the other $5 or $10 room escape titles out there.

A very simple but well designed wave shooter. It's a great party game. No real drawbacks, and it has a very fair price.

This was gifted to me by a friend. I would not recommend the purchase price on this game. It feels like one of those $10 VR demos but it has been much more developed. It's funny but a far stretch from a full title. This one is another great one to show off to guests but it feels very gimicky. I would put this in the 60-70th percentile of VR titles, above average but pretty over rated. If there was a DLC pack adding more 'jobs' I might be more inclined to imrpove this review.
