It's actually pretty fun. I viewed some gameplay and decided to take a chance on it. Makes for a good couch game with a gamepad (works with keyboard and mouse too). Single player against Hard AI is pretty good. Played a long game -- it certainly felt like Monopoly, with misfortune and comebacks going round and round endlessly. The 3D living city board is really cool.

Online for multiplayer you may have to sort out Ubisoft issues where the game says you have a "strict Nat". I fixed this in my router by looking the problem up, then started an online match and played the round to make sure it worked.

Worth it on sale. Keep in mind that if you see it on sale elsewhere you probably will not get a Steam key.

Walk away from this game. I was optimistic for this game in the beginning, but the devs have failed, and I kind of think at this point they want to here so they can move on. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but they made bad decisions and made the game worse.

Let's go back to day one: they had to quickly remove a DoD clone map to get the game back on Steam. Dumb. Just patiently waited for more maps and other improvements. Well, they have added more maps, but ruined existing maps and made gameplay mechanics really bad.

And they removed aim down sights for everyone but rifle class. Think about the camping and the imbalance created by that alone. And they may have done this because they didn't want ADS to reduce recoil, which they were increasing. LOL! Someone is taking the p!ss here. Today you might find one server with four or five players on it, but you probably won't be back either.

I will take the worse round, worse team, and the worse map in any other shooter I play over what Days of War has become. Devs are using the money we gave them, but the game looks like it is being designed to fail hard.

Pros: Very useful for lounging around and using a gamepad as a mouse and keyboard. Fantastic if you use your computer as an entertainment center.
Cons: Can not make you a sandwich.

To think that I actually wondered how much I would use this if I bought it. I have used this almost every day since I bought it over a year ago (time used on Steam does not show how much I used the non-Steam version).

Not only is my computer also set up as a home theater center, but I tend to browse and watch a lot of YouTube. Controller Companion makes it easy to sit back and do almost anything on your computer: pick out and play a gamepad game from your seat; play your own movies; as well as search for things on Amazon Prime, Netflix, or YouTube. Great for binge watching whatever, and also to control your media player for music too. And you'll have both mouse and keyboard control from this, so you can multi-task, like run updates and downloads, search the web, control your audio/video rendering programs, etcetera.

So if you use your computer for all your entertainment too and want to kick back and lounge instead of sitting at your desk all the time, I'd highly recommend it --especially if you have a pet like I do who jumps in your lap as soon as you sit down.

On my older computer the virtual keyboard wheel was a little slow, but it has been flawless on my I5 and I7. I use it with an Xbox controller.

Controller Companion. Chill in the recliner and hack financial institutions like a pimp.

+Great value, low price.
+Fun gamepad game.
+Don't need a supercomputer to run it.
+Pretty cool if you like retro games and horror.

-Wish there was more of it.
-Radio needs some more tunes.

I'll add to the thumbs up given for Dead End Road. Just $2.99 to take a witching hour road trip where you're plagued by dark powers and horrific visions; meet many rage-inducing head-on collision drivers; have severed body parts hurled at you in the night; and get to pick up strange hitch hikers who sometimes seem to get possessed... Wow, what a bargain!

Dead End Road looks like an old 16 or 32-bit game with some modern lighting and special effects. It can probably run on almost anything. The gameplay is mainly driving on the proceduraly generated roads. Sometimes it's very tricky, sometimes it's easier. Then there's a little strategy involved in where you decide to go, and when you stop in each city and choose how to best use your money to buy required items for: the big ritual at the end, any meds or supermarket junk you need to keep your stress level low, and vehicle maintainence. There are some chance aspects if you buy a lotto ticket, or visit a dark alley or rest stop.

Sure, it's just a little game, and they could have done more with it. But I found myself getting a surprising amount of play time out of it. The sudden permadeaths are a little frustrating at first but I was hooked and kept trying. Eventually I could get through it easily, and the shortest route has become too easy and less entertaining with lots of replay. It would be nice if they added a variety of new visions, entities, or something to extend replay value even more. But it was totally worth more than the asking price, and I'd buy a sequel or anything else like it. Worth the trip.

I could recommend Jockey Rush if:
*You have an interest in the subject matter (and the strategy involved).
*You want to play just a jockey game (no breeding or training decisions to make).
*You can get Jockey Rush on sale and think the value is right for a pretty simple game with no bells and whistles ( -- wait, there is that out of place slide whistle sound effect when your jockey reputation goes up or down).

Jockey Rush is a pretty basic horse racing game where you just get to be the jockey. There is some action with the racing, and a lot of strategy. You try and pick the best horses to ride out of the entries you're offered in a race. Are they bred for the distance? Well bred with a graded winner in their pedigree? Compare their stats and consider their running style. Then try for the best finish possible when you ride in the race, and the strategy continues based on your running style, how the pace unfolds, getting the right position, and timing your moves right.

Like in the same dev's Starters Orders 6, the racing is pretty good for a game. It comes down to the horse, and they all have their own running styles, pace, and stamina; the right position, and the right timing can help; and you can't really do stupid things you could do in old riding games like hard blocking and checking your way to an easy win.

Also like SO6, there are tracks similar to real life tracks around the world like Meydan in Dubai.

It doesn't have a lot in presentation. There are no frills, not even background music. Even in auto racing games, I like a lot of visual and audio feedback, and a decent soundtrack. So, points off for that. But it is what it is. Personally I used it to pass time between races and some handicapping on opening day at Del Mar, and was looking forward to riding some winners in Jockey Rush. There is also a Battle Mode where jockeys freely kick and punch eachother. Stewards inquiry! Suspensions and anger management for everyone!

+ It's a powered-up kart racing game
+ Nice graphics
+ Easy, casual gameplay

-It's not much of a powered-up kart racing game
-Not a lot of content (tracks and modes left lacking)
-Lack of population in multiplayer

The game is alright, but wait for a better sale price; or continue to wait for a better table top racing game to come along. The actual race courses are small and not very interesting besides the "table top" gimmick. That's some novelty at first, but not a lot of fun is had with it. The driving lacked a lot of feel and excitement a racing game usually has, and the tracks are very flat except for an occasional jump, incline or decline. Sure, it's racing on a table top, but I really think the racing and track design could be done better. Maybe those are reasons why table top racing games tend to disappoint. I think some day someone will finally get it right, but this game still isn't it.

I got the game with the first DLC only to end up feeling like the game did not create enough interest to keep me coming back.

The multiplayer lobby here is a good place to watch tumbleweeds from.

Some people like the "breakbeat" dance soundtrack. I found a couple of tracks alright, while others I really did not like and had to turn the music off.

Pro's: It's a smashing 30-minute action satire with 80's synth music, dinosaurs, viking babes, and Nazi's.
Con's: No nude curvaceous women.

A very well executed, fun 30-minute satire of everything that makes 80's action movies, cartoons, comics, TV heroes like Knight Rider, and gaming so entertaining. You get a rented VHS-tape look to the film, the typical pulsating 80's synthesizer music, and an iconic action hero who looks like he should have been 80's GI Joe figure. Nazi's, dinosaurs, and viking babes with machine guns are all invited to the Kung Fury action party as the movie doesn't forget what's popular now in entertainment and gaming. Just no zombies -- unless you want to count the Nazi's.

The fight scenes almost look like a send up of not just over the top action heroes, but Japanese Tokusatstu TV shows. The arcade machine Kung Fury fights would fit into Kamen Rider's monster of the week formula. Of course, being in this movie, everything has it's own memorable twists to send everything even farther over the top.

The Nazi's have become a popular enemy in movies and games, and it's no wonder they have been given the Kung Fury treatment as well. What's outstanding here more than a comic Kung Fuehrer and his mecha golden eagle is a great little fight scene at the film's climax. The background of stumbling, confused gas-masked Nazi's is just as fun as our hero ripping off his attacker's limbs and using them as weapons, a go-go-Gadget helicopter propeller, or even a skateboard.

As a fan of bad movies and 80's classics like Revenge of the Ninja, I found this very well done. It's a comic tribute to those kinds of things, but it also has some very nice special effects, CGI, visual compositions, and sound design that would be satisfying if you'd paid to see this in a theater. At only 30-minutes it seems about right and has earned a special place in my short list of favorite weird movies. It's one of those little things you just have to tell people about and say, "You have to see it." KITT would be proud of this movie, and probably get a laugh at the Hoff9000.

This is easily one of the best games I've got in 2013, and will probably remain in my Steam Favorites list for a long time. I never played a game like this before and now it has me hooked. It keeps getting better!

At first I was just enjoying the scenery, the gameplay of driving the trucks, taking different jobs, and leveling up my XP so I could make more money and buy my own truck (Volvo FH16 Globetrotter). Now I'm working to upgrade my truck and my business. The business part is pretty addictive too. You can take a loan, expand your first garage, start buying more trucks, and hire drivers to work for you. I'm anxious to get enough money to buy another garage somewhere else and start another fleet.

You can not only use your skill points from XP to strategically improve your abilities and rewards one step at a time to make more money, you can do the same with your drivers (or choose to have their skills auto-balanced).

The scenery is gorgeous and there are some nice little touches of different things to see on the road and in different cities.

The changing weather and day/night transformations are great. Rain storms are awesome.

Driving in Europe is really not that different than driving in North America. Although, for some reason driving in the UK made me a little nervous--maybe it's the little extra traffic; maybe it's just driving on the other side of the road; or maybe I was expecting The Stig to cross my path.

I play with a Driving Force GT wheel, and even though as a fan of racing games I at first had doubts about this game, I gotta say if you have a wheel you really should try this game. Everything about the game is pure pleasure, but the driving is not just enjoyable but challenging as well. Things like parking your trailer; traveling swiftly but balancing your trailer's loads around all kinds of bends, inclines and declines; driving at night; dealing with other drivers (watch out for the evil empire of busses!) and trying to overtake slow pokes who follow the speed limit; traveling as fast as you can and watching for speeding cameras and changing speed limits make this one of the best driving games I've ever played. Oh yeah, don't blow those red lights--all the tickets you could get for various things can really ad up on one trip.

It actually is becoming a racing game as I'm travelling longer distances. Right now in order to not interrupt my delivery with rest stops and not be late (which costs money) or get fined for driving while tired (happened to me four times at the end of one trip), I'm trying to make my trips even faster. So I'm balancing my loads at top speeds, taking the ever changing curves of the road as gracefully as possible, putting the pedal to the metal but watching for speed cameras and changing speed limits (watch out for those road hazard areas and be careful in town), and trying to overtake just like in a racing game--but it's more challenging with opposing traffic on busy highways!

It's also a great music game. Hit the road and use your in-game radio to tune into different internet stations or play your favorite music on a media player in the background (I recommend AIMP3, which has a great interface and features but is very low resource).

I highly recommend ETS2! I hope they make more expansions, and I am looking forward to American Truck Simulator.

I got this on sale for under two bucks and have found that the well-known bugs are indeed difficult to keep playing around. How could I completely resist a crime-themed pinball table--almost like a cross between pinball and PAYDAY! It's a shame this game is bug-ridden and will never be fixed, because the table seems pretty cool. You can play as a cop or a crook, meaning you'll get to try different missions on the table depending on which side you chose. The table looks good and the pinball seems like it might be pretty good. Unfortunately, the more I try it the more bugs I find. Forget portrait mode--the freaking menus will remain in landscape orientation, so you'll have to tilt your head sideways! Forget using a gamepad on this because it seems to be mapped incorrectly and you can't remap the controller at all. The files appear to be encrypted, so forget about trying to fix it that way. Really, this broken game should probably not be sold by any vendor any more.

I've been playing GRID for years because the racing is just really enjoyable--especially with a racing wheel. Whenever I want to jump back into a racing game, I'll play GRID. There is no need to spend time acquiring different parts and tuning them, only to lose a race and have to go back and forth between the Garage and the track to get a setup that works. It's all about the racing and pushing yourself to do better.

There are some nice licensed tracks like Nürburgring, Spa, and Turkey; and there are some great fantasy tracks as well. I like the hilly track in the scenic mountains of Okutama, and Long Beach with it's tight corners is really fun in Formula 3 cars. Shibuya is a lot of fun too--lots of corners on a wet street circuit at night in an electrifying Japanese shopping district (no interruptions from Godzilla and Megaguirus).

You can do the Le Mans 24 Hours in different classes. I think it runs about 15 minutes, but the sun will set and you'll race in the dark for a bit before sunrise.

GRID has a nice roster of cars. The Lamborghini Murcielago is a favorite of mine here. This is the game that made me a fan of using cockpit views, and I wasn't expecting to like them. GRID also innovated a rewind feature called Flashbacks, so you can go back and retry those corners you blew without having to restart the whole race.

I play GRID with a mod that removed the game's yellow tint, and I recommend that. There are other graphics mods as well. The game looks beautiful for me.
