Got banned in CS:GO for using a public, detected cheat on official servers w/ VAC running. I was 15 at the time. I also got a subsequent GameBan since the same phone number was linked to another account I played CS on.

Nov. 2021:

Again, as I said last year, it's one of the best games of the last decade for me, and still is one of my favorites. I've got no idea how many times I've played the game, or how many hours on different accounts and platforms I've spent, but it's been worth every single one. I applaud ReLogic for sticking with Terraria for so long, and I am grateful for all the updates we've recieved. Definitively a labour of love.

Nov. 2020:

Again, there aren't enough good words I know to describe this masterpiece of a game. It is seriously one of the best games I've ever played and I am so extremely happy that the Devs have continued updating it for so long, without any obligation to do so. It's an amazing game, with an amazing community, and I can't wait to keep playing this game, spicing it up with mods for years to come.

Edit:

Now 7 years after my first, admittedly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ review, I wanted to do a proper one. Terraria having now recieved it's final update, it shows that there has been interrest in the game for a long time and that those who have created the game really loved doing so, with all the care that has been put into the game.

Terraria is a game that I find exciting, fresh and most definetively one with alot of aspects that give it a good replay value. For someone who has played the game for 100+ hours in a cracked version of the game, only to buy it on steam to get another 500 into the mix- not alot of games have that power, and the 4 "classes" you can play, really add to that. These four being Melee - Ranged - Magic - Summoner.

These are all specialized in their respective ways once you get the right accessories and gear- but with a few simple accessory swaps or a headgear swap you can entirely flip your playstyle. This is a thing that really lets you explore terraria in the way you want to, as you're not locked into any kind of progression that you have to keep until the end of the game.

Terraria is not only defined by it's really good combat, it is also defined by creativity. Do you want to build a small village populated with rustic looking houses? You can do that. Want to build a pirate ship? You can do that. Want to build a death arena with traps, lava and rainbow colours? Why not? Any build you can think of, and you can probably build it. The latest update also encurages you making your houses spread out - and keeping your villagers happy, as this allows you to use "pylons" to teleport to your villagers, essentially making any long travel to either side of the world as easy as a single click.

Having said all of that, you might also want to consider replaying the game after beating it for the first time in normal mode- as you could try expert mode, an admittedly harder version of the game with slightly better drops, and much tougher enemies - Also letting mobs drop Expert only items that are very useful. Then, once you can beat that, you can beat the game in "Master Mode" the newest difficult. This increases droprates more- but also makes the enemies even tougher, with a simple slime having 400 hit points in hardmode for example. This mode also gives you master mode exclusive pets and relics, which you can place in your world to showcase the bosses you've beat.
