This is the best Total War since Shogun 2. The breadth and depth here is great. Every game in the TW franchise plays differently and I understand that they are deliberate design choices. I will say though, that I'm a big fan of elite units and pounding cities before moving in and would love to bring it back into the franchise at some point.
