Gameplay is tight, performance is decent, memorable moments are frequent and there is enough variety to keep things interesting for a long time.

The devs have been active and we've seen several small events already take place in game. Creation of new content seems to be keeping pace with the demands of players. The evolving story for Galactic War #1 is interesting to watch and read even when not playing.

Easy 8/10 in general.
9/10 or 10/10 for those looking for some cooperative squad play.

EDITED: 3 months without needing a PSN account but now its "mandatory"? They claim its for security (infamously ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Sony track record) and the ability to ban accounts (in a PVE) game. We all know its so they can boost their PSN account numbers in a quarterly report. Negative.

EDIT2: May 6th is victory day. Back to positive this goes as the PSN account requirement has been lifted.

Played Pre-Alpha and happily bought Foxhole Early Access. Devs are responsive on Discord and host devstreams on Twitch to show off upcoming features + community highlights.

Current Likes:

Topdown combat which feels responsive. Maybe not the most weightly but I never felt like my character was out of my control. Aim is nice but shots seem to have slight RNG.

Lots of roles for players to fulfill. Includes but not limited to: frontline fighter, combat medic, HMG support, mortar and artillery support as well as Halftrack & tankers. All of this made possible by the logistic guys who gather and refine resources, queue up the factories, move supplies and men to the front line and build the fortifications.

Map size is decently large that allows for map starts to gather, build up and recon. Then get progressively more and more action orrientated as the two sides gets closer and closer. I believe map varienty is at 6 with a 7th on the way in 2 weeks with a couple more planned.

Server size is at a decent 60v60 for 120 per. Last I heard there is a soft cap due to server hardware limitations. May or may not vary in the future. Feels fine imo as large fights don't really hit performance for me.

Current Dislikes:

Barebones new player experience. You get a splash screen with some basic info then dropped into the world. I'm sure this will be improved on in the future but right now I heavily suggest new players watch KrazyFlyinChicken's Early Access tutorial.

Vehicles like the motorcycle and trucks drive a little clunky. Workable but it is sometimes difficult to drive over steeper terrain. Also instakills friendlies if you're moving at all and they touch you. Watch Out!

Overall I am highly pleased with the game's concept and progress. For me its a 7/10 in its current state as I'm a fan of the gameplay style. I can easily seeing myself dump a 100+ hours into this game and for it's price, that's a great deal.

This takes me back to the fond memories I have of Harvest Moon 64. All the charm but better. The developer, ConcernApe, really does have a great vision for what this game should be like and I support it.

Other reviews lay out what makes this game so special better than I can so I'll just add to the concensus this is truely a great game.

11/27/16 Edit: Came back from the 1.1 changes and a new run with the new farm layouts, new spouses, and a couple community mods make for another great 50+ hours.

I haven't been this excited and entertained by a city builder since SimCity 3k. Superbly polished and highly modable. If you're into the city building genre or just a nice pickup casual game, take a good look at this game.
