Öncelikle şunu söylemem gerek ki, 2002 Mafia benim en sevdiğim oyunlar listesinde 1. sıradadır. 2002 Mafia'nın yerini benim için hiçbir oyun dolduramaz. Bundan dolayı 2002 Mafia'yı daha çok sevsem de objektif baktığımda Remake'in orijinal oyundan her türlü daha kaliteli olduğunu tabii ki de inkar edemem. Bu remake genel olarak orijinal oyundaki bütün her şeyi alıp geliştirmiş ve günümüze mükemmel bir şekilde uyarlamış. Hem orijinal fan kitlesine hem de orijinal oyunu simülasyon olduğu ve çok zor olduğundan dolayı bu oyunu sevmeyenlere de ihanet etmeyip ayarlardan özelleştirilebilir mükemmel bir zorluk eklemişler. Eğer benim gibi orijinal oyundaki simülasyon ve zorluğu seviyorsanız ayarlardan Classic Mode'u etkinleştirip tıpkı 2002 Mafia gibi yapabilirsiniz. Eğer oyunun zorluğundan ve simülasyon yapısından şikayetçiyseniz Normal Mode'a alıp tıpkı GTA gibi oynayabilirsiniz. Oyunla ilgili en büyük eleştirim ise orijinal oyundaki bir bölünün kocaman, gergin ve ray bulmacaları gibi eğlenceli ve lineer hissettirmeyen bir görevi Remake'de tamamen koridor halini almış ve bulmacalar kaldırılmış. Bu bahsettiğim gibi sadece 1 bölümde yapılan bir şey. Bu remake, hem döneminde Mafia 1'i sevmemiş kitleye oyunu sevdiren, hem de orijinal oyunun hastası olanlara ihanet etmeyen piyasadaki en iyi remakelerden biri.

GTA 3'ün üstüne çok daha fazla koyan, harika 80'ler teması ve amerikanvari mükemmel senaryosu ile şu gün bile koltuklara kilitleyen, benim gözümde asla yaşlanmayacak bir efsane olan bir oyundur GTA Vice City. (Nostalji etkisi de olabilir çok emin değilim)
