A visually appealing game with a very engrossing storyline. Following the style of Telltale Games, it feels as if you are watching an interactive movie rather than playing a video game. The game starts off nice and slow, allowing you to get to know the characters and the environment. From there, it builds up to an extent that makes you realise the massive power of the Butterfly Effect and its consequences. It also teaches an important lesson on not judging a person by how they look. The “Rewind” feature was integrated very well into the gameplay, which also allowed you to try out all the different possible outcomes. The hunt for photo opportunities was fun, and it felt really satisfying to see a Steam achievement pop up after getting it right. However, considering the vast opportunities to explore in each area, the achievements could have been more diverse. It felt very rigid, that the achievements were linked only to the photography side quest and episode completion. Regardless, this was my very first game on Steam, and it really gave me a good first impression about gaming on a PC due to its seamless integration.

Overall, the game is excellent value for money spent and I would be happy to see more from the developers. (Note: I haven’t played Before the Storm yet and I am really excited about it)
