TLDR: Great game, don't play it. Why you may ask? Because you can't do it.

This game has a great athmosphere, story, soundtrack, and it is really challenging.
It is a kickstarter game that was crowd funded and finished.
The game will not hold your hand, you will be cruelly tested.
Your characters WILL die, you WILL abandon your missions, and you WILL fail and have massive setbacks.
The game will not cut you any slack and Darkest Dungeon WILL make you their ♥♥♥♥♥.
Overconfidence was indeed most players downfall, thinking they could just pick this game and play it like any other.
Less than 10% of all people who played the game, managed to finish it.
For people who simply want to play the game and have fun, it is not recommended, only misery awaits you here.

So after all what I said, why am I thumbing up this game? Because this game is a great way to test your character.

Do you got what it takes to conquer Darkest Dungeon?

Greatings, this review have both positives and negatives. Negatives in dept review bellow.

Positives:

- Graphics look good, even on lowest settings.
- Good amount of pc settings available.
- Lots of karts available to ride in. Karts divided into categories of drift/balanced/speed.
- Lots of characters to choose from, they come with their own animations, emotes, outfits, and signature skill.
- Impressive kart customization. You can change karts colors, tires, booster perticles, license plates, tire marks, add balloons and up to 100 decals on a kart.
- Replay system for your matches.
- Game modes: Item Solo/Squad, Speed Solo/Squad, Crossover Solo (Item + Speed), Custom races, Singleplayer challenges.
- Kart drifts differently then in other kart games, but it is still satisfactory.
- 56 race tracks available.
- Up to 8 players per match.
- Good amount of combat items during the match, some characters get upgraded versions.
- Crossplay.
- Nice music.

Negatives:

- Loot boxes.
- Kart and character upgrades.
- Chat censorship.
- Personal FOMO shop.
- Balloons with special effects.
- Character animations/emotes.

Negatives in dept:

- Loot boxes are aquired using Lucci (Gold) coins. You earn these coins just by playing the game, doing challenges and what have you.
Problem with loot boxes is that they are a necessity to get anything, since shops mostly have premium stuff to buy.
Loot boxes are cheap, and only reliable way to get karts, characters, emotes, animations, and other stuff.
You can't buy loot boxes with money, but loot boxes are a negative stimuli for people with gambling addiction.

- Kart and character upgrades. Karts have tiers: common, fine, rare, heroic. Past common tier, you can upgrade your kart characteristics.
Characters also have tiers which can have their signature skill upgraded to have shorter cowldown.
Problem is that people who have common karts/characters will be racing against people who are using higher tier karts/characters who have advantages.
This could be considred P2W.
My idea how to solve this is by removing tiers and let upgrading be unlocked by default, so no one would feel like they are at a disadvantage.

- Chat censorship. Recently I found out that saying a phrase "♥♥♥♥ map" is forbidden. I get it, this game is likely targetted at young children with cute chibi characters.
Companies do like to pretend having high morals, so saying swear words around children is a big no no, however, said companies are more then happy, when children use their parents credit card to buy battle passes, store junk, and develop gambling addiction by opening loot boxes.

- Personal FOMO shop. In game you have a personal store that refreshes once a day. You can use your Mileage (Duplicate) coins to refresh it yourself.
Problem is, why have this in the first place? If you wanted to add a personal store, you could just put all stuff there, add some pages to cycle through the items and call it a day. Instead developers made sure that players are forced to visit store everyday in hopes they will find something, or just burn through Mileage (Dupeplicate) coins, hoping that something they want would show up. FOMO (Fear of missing out) is not a good thing to have.
If adding pages with stuff is a technical limitation, at least make store reroll to be free.

- Balloons with special effects. At first I thought balloons were just a cute accessory to have, until I noticed that they are a usable item with special effects that can be upgraded using Lucci (Gold) coins. Tiers:

Common - Reduced damage recieved from missiles (Item mode).
Fine - Faster boost refill (Speed mode).
Rare - Shorter time to escape water prison (Item mode).
Heroic - Reduced damage recieved from lightning/UFO (Item mode).

Question, why is this a thing? Just another reason for people to call this game P2W. It might not look like it is a big deal, but any advantage is still an advantage. If developers ever want this game to get somewhere, anything like this needs to go. Balloons should have been just a cute accessory to enhance your karts look, not a clear advantage in a match.

- Character animations/emotes. By themselves, animations are great, well animated, give life to the characters. They are used in 4 areas. When you win/lose and win/lose while in a kart.
Emotes are used during the match while you are riding in a kart. You can have up to 4 and use them on the move.

Here is the problem. Each character have their own animations/emotes. By default you only get 2 animations for each character, and only 2 characters have their own emotes unlocked, so you have to use someone elses character emotes for a different character. Colleting these animations and emotes is pain in the ass. I play as Bazzi and I am stuck with 2 animations, and not a single Bazzi emote. Most characters won't have an option to buy animations/emotes for their characters from the store, so the only option is to gamble with loot boxes in hopes of getting them. For some reason, developers didn't had an idea to introduce some sort of character neutral emotes, like thumbs up, cheer, cry, anger and what have you. This is not a deal breaker, but just upsetting when I get an animation/emote and it isn't for a character I am playing.

Conclusion:

Despite the game having problems, it is not a bad game. Go ahead and give this game a try, it is free. I will leave this as negative review. If developers will ever adress said problems, I will update my review. I only been here breefly and already found 3 reasons to call this game PW2.

Game review in a non specific order with pros and cons.

- Story TLDR: Reality bender/dreamer gone depressed
- Modest enemy variety: Knife, Batton, Shield, Four legs, Long nose, Screamer, Big daddy(Mommy?), Caged legs, Angel.
- Multiple difficulty choices: Casual, Medium, Survivor.
- Inventory difficulty from extra slots to keys take whole slot in a rule of six.
- Modest weapon choices: Pistol, Shotgun, Revolver, Rifle, Flare gun, SMG.
- Utility slot items: Prod, Corpse flare, Healing tube, Flashlight, Camera.
- No replay value. No unlockable weapons, costumes, extra game modes.
- Five endings in total. None of them are satisfactory.
- Good puzzles, but they are not randomized.
- Controls: Resident evil remake tank/modern.
- Graphics: Pixelated top down isometric view with 3D in the mix.
- Tedious inventory management.
- Map don't show what keys/items are required for locked doors.
- No information on the map if you cleared the room of items.
- Enemies can injure you while in transition animation when you enter a room.
- Get injured just by touching an enemy.
- Stealth is recommended to avoid most encounters.
- Ammo is scarce, killed enemies resurrect, avoid combat to prevent softlocking yourself.
- Sound design is solid.
- Music: 56 soundtracks, barely any of them are memorable.
- Game has a good silent hill athmosphere.
- Nice animations.
- Game can cause epileptic seizures at certain points.
- Main character looks like androgynous self insert guy/girl from anime.

Overall an ok game, but I can't recommend it, since there are better games out there with superior gameplay and easier to understand story.

Why not take a chance to experience life in europa? Become a sailor in a finest submarines made in a sweat shop. Witness how hostile alien fauna opens your submarine like a tin can, just to get a tasty exquisite meal, namely you. Get involved in a crossfire between factions, just to get send terrorist who are ready to blow your sub up. Swim too deep and have abyss creature treat your sub like a new toy. Get bitten by a parasite and turn into an unkillable zombie. How about a one time experience of what happens to human body exposed to high water pressure. Parasite cultists, idiotic clowns, and all other fine things are waiting for you to experience. It is trully a great game!

Well done mod, new game mechanic using both present and the future to solve tough challenges was pretty enjoyable. This mod is definitely worth a try. Well done guys.

Not a scary game, but it does have a dark atmosphere and few jumpscares. The sound quality was good, altough there were few familiar tracks, one is from Silent Hill Shattered Memories. The best part was just following the story and solving puzzles, that were a nice addition to the game. If you are being dry on horror games and want to solve several puzzles while following a dark story, then you should try this game.

A cute little puzzle game with nice athmospheric music. Recommend to try it out just for the fun of it.

Best Medieval Themed RPG ever created.I suggest this game for Stronghold and Medieval fanns.
