I'm not recommending the game because it turns into one of those games with dumb conditions for achievements.
The community champion achievement is locked in a way that you need to play the game a couple of times at specific dates, and if you miss it you need to wait for an entire year. And most achievement collectibles don't have enough visual cues so that the only way you complete it in a reasonable timeframe is by using a guide.

It would be forgiven if the game is fun to play, but its just repetitive. Just throw some furnitures to complete a checklist and you're done. There's absolutely no incentives for you to play aesthetically, heck you wont even see what you made for long because the game would hide it or your tenants would request a renovation.

Completionists stay away !

For actual review :
How come a game that relies on replayability, not having procedural world generation ? This is my biggest turn off as most current maps don't have the features I wanted, and downloading player-made maps feels like modding for a purist like me.

Also for a game that boasts about building vertically, there sure is not much choice in buildings that support that. Also also, for a game that lets you build mega dams to actually survive, the performance hit is just too much to ignore. Why are the hidden face of levees still rendered even if the players cant see them ?

The balance is so bad :
A single piece of ♥♥♥♥ is pricier than a full sized doe/buck.
