I enjoy the gameplay a lot, its thrilling and engaging, the puzzles are well made. but the game runs very poorly on my machine.
which is not bad by any means, 14700k with a gigagbyte 3070 gaming oc, ddr5 ram, 990 pro nvme ssd...

most games run very smooth on my machine but silent hill 2 has some huge performance issues.
big stutters, even with settings set to low. it lets you cap the fps ingame to 60 hz max lmao

i have played a bit by this point, a otherwise enjoyable game suffers from serious performance and optimization issues, which should not happen in the year 2024....

buy it if you can get it discounted! i got the trilogy for 30€ on sale

still better than most games released today, huge map, many missions, side missions, races, flying challenges, mountain bike races, ...
you can be a firefighter, pimp, medic, hell there even is a freight train mission

a huge variety of cars, planes, helicopters, bikes and other vehicles...
u can get girlfriends who give you bonuses, level up your guns,...
go swim and dive, gamble in las venturas casino, or go and take over los santos gang territory
and thats not even the end of it...

this game was way ahead of its time and still is one of the best games ever, and playing it with overhauled graphics and trophies was very enjoyable.

there are some small bugs here and there but i didnt find anything to be bad or reduce my gaming experience.

still great game, you can customise anything the way you want with community workshop including updated graphics. expert campaigns are fun. very good
