I will pay anything to get a sequel in a new engine and physics! Or if there is a remake with a new engine and physics then my goodness I will pay anything for that as well.

If you've watched the scene from saving private ryan, with the battle in the small french town near the end of the movie. That is the best example I can give for discribing this game. Of ocurse not on cinematic scale, but the raw feel of combat and bullets wizzing past by every where, dust particles from hitting walls and buildings. It captures moments like these and it turns immersive. The combat offers a much different feel than any FPS I've played, let alone a ww2 FPS.

I love the recent ranking system added, accurate to both allies and axis. The artillery and air strikes have changed the gameplay to another level. The workshop community is creative, very supposrted by the game and adds more freedom for customization. I downloaded detailed skins and glad to see them working in multiplayer games I join. The only thing that I would wish for this game to have is a destructable map environment, where no cover can be used the same way after it's been blown up or shot up. Mpas take place in an urban setting, villages or towns. But I wonder if eventually they will add tank crews and tank battles with open fiels and towns. It might be a far fetched idea because the maps are generally built smaller in this game. Other than that, if you're into ww2, fps or both. I'd highly recommend giving this a genuine try, learn the mechanics, learn the game play. And it'll become pretty fun.

I might give this game a second try later on when more updates begin to roll in. At the moment this game could use some work.

Infanrty combat is extremly bland, AA might as well help attack ground units because they aren't taking no planes out of the sky. Tank combat gives off an arcadish vibe to it. This is in an early phase so anything's subject to change I guess. But I can't bring myself to liking the gameplay so far.

This is a large scale front lines warfare strategy game. So the detail in combat is missed out for the most part, because understandably you won't be seeing detail in the combat with this style. This also ties into it being a slow paced game, which can be frustrating when you are trying to advance and it takes forever.

I'm not a hardcore strategist, but I think this is the type of audience the game cators to.
