Early Access Review
If you like puzzles and assembly this is an awesome little game with some story. If you don't know what assembly is, it's probably going to be quite hard, but doable. It's not the most beginner friendly, but still better than TIS-100. I highly recommend printing out the manual before you even do the first puzzle (might work OK with two monitors - haven't tried - but you definitely don't want to alt-tab between the game and pdf).

Came expecting something like Mafia 1 or 2, got a generic and not very polished (mediocre graphics, bad AI, grindy) open world game. The story is there, but it feels more like it's being told on the side and not as part of the game like in the other Mafia games where you're truly immersed in it. It's an OK game, just not what I was hoping for and nothing that we haven't seen before in (dozens of) other games (especially the wiretapping "control towers" thingy, really?). I might play some more, but I would exchange it for a few more missions of Mafia 2 in a second.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for $10 you absolutely have to buy this (or even at the original price). Puzzles are similar style to portal: rules are established quite well, so it's not one of those where you don't even know where to start. A lot of the puzzles are easy, but there is a good range of difficulty overall, and you can skip and come back if you get stuck. Story is great, some of it is voice acted, some of it you read as text documents (I guess you can skip those but I would recommend reading them).

All there is to this game is rolling the dice on the randomly generated planets and exploring the generated terrain and animals. Everything that actually affects the gameplay is always the same, and there isn't much to it. You can upgrade your tools to be better, but you can't make anything new. To top it all off the inventory is frustratingly small (you can upgrade it, but it takes time), so most of your time will be spent moving items around.

Very similar to The Talos Principle, just not as good. The puzzle mechanics are decent, but there is no challenge in the puzzles. Most of it felt like I was just going through the motions, doing the only thing that I could. The story is interesting at the start, but it doesn't really go anywhere.
