S.T.A.L.K.E.R will always be a game in my heart, when I was younger I used to watch my dad play SoC, CS and CoP and later on even played the games myself, however this was a game that I was waiting for longer then CP2077, and the wait did not disappoint me by any means.

Playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 put me into this huge open world map that the first three games couldn't do because of limitations (my guess), and it was perfectly executed, exploring the zone has never felt better and with the game having a more modern feeling of combat and with A-Life being put back on shortly after release and quick hot-fixes being released, it feels just as immersive as the original games and I've never been more glad to have pre-ordered a game in my life, ever.

Sure, the bugs and the problems are very much apparent, but like what GSC said, they never released a game within this scale of a large open world zone, I ain't going to have a go at them either because despite an entire war going on in their development team's country, they went as far as to migrate to another country to not only protect themselves, but to continue development for this title so that we players can enjoy their last decade of work being put towards a game like this.

I wish game developers could be just as passionate as GSC to bring out games that were clearly made with love because despite their condition and what has happened throughout the last several years with GSC, they were able to create a game more immersive then any AAA game that came out recently, I will continue my play-though of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 and hope to many more hours of playthrough, thank you GSC for creating something that I thought wouldn't have happened.

Elden Ring was a game that I thought to be very over-hyped at its initial launch back in 2022, I didn't see much about it and being honest, I wasn't a huge fan of any soul games before hand as it seemed hard and overall quite boring to progress in (only ever watched walk-through videos about them), however after beating the game with full completion I must say, I take back those thoughts about any souls game and especially Elden Ring.

About a year after launch I caved into buying ER for the sake of just seeing why everyone wanted to "put a ring on it", and I must say that I 100% agree with putting a ring on it, It's a game like no other and is one of the first games where I genuinely decided to 100% for several reasons:

The first main reason must be the visuals, I've never seen so much detail been put towards a game's map let alone a world this massive with so much to explore, it felt like I would spend a good 20-30 hours each part of the games world just to find any small item just for the sake of experiencing what it feels like to be a part of The Lands Between. Of course second reason is obviously the combat and the bosses that comes with completing the game, having to painfully go through these bosses, struggling with beating them forcing me to back track just to find items to help beat them easier feels like such a accomplishment, hence why I have always never felt so glad to continue even after seeing "you died" several hundred times.

However, the questline can be quite confusing, ER being my first souls-like game I didn't know how quests worked, typically with most games its all linear and with a bundle with sidequests added to the mix, however with ER it felt odd, there was no where telling me where to go and I know quests get discovered by the player after multiple playthrough (without any use of a guide), it's just something I found confusing at first and can be for new players.

Other then that, It is a masterpiece without any doubt, It's fun, rewarding, stunning and most importantly it's worth the money you pay for, which is something you don't typically see with most 60£ games having a storyline the length of about 3-4 hours. Not to mention ER has opened up a whole world of souls-games that I've already purchased and planning to play later on.

Final Rating - 10/10

remember how COD was known as one of the most realistic depiction's of war/military service? that was about a decade ago now, lets see how COD is doing now?

- running around all colourful/sunshines
- bundles that are way to expensive
- game release every 1-2 years just for it to be the same ♥♥♥♥
- horrible pc optimisation, including "shaders pre-loading"
- "update requires restart"
- followed the footsteps of fortnite
- garbage slop

i wouldn't buy BO6 at all and instead play smth else more interesting, you have so many other choices or even go revisit what COD was all about and don't pay for this ass slop.

Cry of Fear is 100% one of the best free to play games out there on steam and can be considered one of the best psychological horror titles, travelling the streets of Stockholm has never been more terrifying and the depiction of someone who suffers with depression & anxiety day after night has never been so perfectly portrayed before that I couldn't believe a small group of developers have created this game. overall is a sh*t scary, depressing title to explore in its own good way.

However, as any other game that has came out within the last two decades, it has its cons when it comes to the limitations with the usage of a older game engine (CoF uses a slightly modified version of GoldSrc, the HL1 engine) the clunky controls and the very buggy puzzles are 100% apparent and although the old-style of visuals do indeed keep the horror integrity of the game and I do appreciate the grainy depressing look of the game and how it keeps the player on their feet at all times, you can definitely notice imperfections around the map and this can be annoying to deal with from time to time.

overall, the game is easily a 9/10, a great title given by such a small group of passionate developers and I wish larger companies would have the minds that these dev's had, which is unfortunately not the case with the new titles coming out now, but the limitations with the game engine, the very annoying AI and the constant crashes does count a point being deducted.

TLDR: the story, puzzles and the sh*t scary encounters is what makes this game a masterpiece, however limitations and game issues are very apparent with the usage of a older engine.
