There's bugs. There's glitches. There's police who spawn directly behind you if you wanted to snipe someone on top of a radio tower.

I would NOT really recommend it at its launch state if you can't deal with those but it has great potential to be a really enjoyable experience after they patch up several issues, especially the police AI and terrible melee combat. However, there is a bunch of content to complete. Most missions can either be done guns blazing or stealthily.

Heard about performance issues but it runs fine on 1080p medium settings with a 1080Ti.

Big F to all the old gen console players though.

Protip: Angel is also a guy's name.

AC7 never released their VR missions to PC so this was a treat. The VR isn't perfect and you need to bump down the settings from the default Ultra. Even with Low Settings there are major hiccups for certain missions, mainly ones with a bunch of missile trails or above urban fights.

However, for a game that seemed like it was developed by just one person, it was totally worth the $25. Just the right Ace Combat feel to it.

Don't forget to bring your WSO with you in every. single. mission.

If you want to pay premium for a Star Wars branded game, then do I have the recommendation for you.

For a game that was supposedly "built from ground up with VR in mind" it sure does run like garbage. With a 1080Ti and i7 6600k, low graphics settings, the reprojection rate is constant. Looking around in VR gives you double vision which just helps you not with your accuracy, but increased motion sickness.

Supposedly, they're fixing it, but since it's EA, you probably won't see it. Wait for the usually discount during the holiday season. Or try the MP for $5 on EA play.

Query: Why need 3D when all you need is 2B?

Don't really care for the multiplayer or lack thereof, wasn't expecting it. But there's really not enough in this game to justify $60 for it. Procedural generation can sound cool but most of the stuff looks the same. Take for example Starbound - you're not going to explore hundreds of planets before just getting bored, realizing its just slightly rehashed.

And for a game full of space faring aliens - hard to believe there's not at least one planet that's populated with colonies.

That aside, the port at its release state sucks. Mouse movement is terrible. Feels like you're trying to look around with a controller. With a 6700K and a 980 GTX I get 80+ FPS but with a bunch of microstuttering.

I'll probably rebuy this game when it goes on sale and if the technical PC problems get fixed, but for $60? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooope.

Edit: Biggest comeback of all time.

What better way to ensure a successful launch than by not having a standby server maintanence team and taking the whole weekend off on launch week? Meanwhile the servers fall into disarray and China creeps its gold sellers in like a horde of mindless Dynasty Warrior mobs.

Great job to IMC for shooting themselves in the foot multiple times.

It's a decent grinder MMORPG, P2W is there but extremely minimal. However so far, IMC is just scrubbing it up with the lack of overwatch.

Recommended for the $18 I paid for it, probably nothing more... maybe $20:

+Great soundtrack - gives it the Firefly feeling
+Combat is fun enough
+Different variety of ships to choose from
+Voice acting is great, especially compared to Starpoint Gemini 2

-Post-campaign is lackluster - Dreadnought class wrecks anything within two beam broadsides
-Trading is weird. Traders offer to give you an item for 5k while they offer to buy the same item at 9k. Wat
-Story is super bland - EVERYONE is forgettable; even the last boss is forgettable as I neutroned his ass into oblivion with barely any hull damage.

You control your ship on a 2D plane while the non-capital ships have 3D movement. Feels like AssCreed Black Flag naval combat in space - could be a negative for some but nevertheless, still fun.

tl;dr: Not GOTY content, but enjoyable at the pricepoint - realistically can enjoy it for about a week before moving onto something else
