The good: Beautiful open world with no loading times and satisfying gunplay.
The bad: Basically everything else is mediocre

Just let me start off by saying that I'm both a fan of the original Rage and Doom, so when I saw that the goal for the game was basically Doom in the open world of Rage I got excited, the fact that most professional reviews gave high scores and seemed to echo that was why I bought the game. What I found was something that entertained for the first hour or so as I explored the environments and marveled at the smooth, enjoyable gun-play, but quickly turned bland. Now, 7 hours in, I've got all the guns in the game and beat all the hardest raids in the game which were a cake-walk on hard difficulty. Past the first 2 hours, I had absolutely no new enemies or really any variation in game-play and felt almost invincible because the enemies aren't challenging at all(that being said, I haven't tried it on Nightmare), and even when I got new guns after that, the game-play still dragged because the core experience didn't change at all. I don't have the motivation to even finish the game, and I'm left feeling disappointed because it certainly wasn't what was promised.

It's a good buy at $20 especially if you're into FarCry or JC, which to me feel like they have more of those same grindy aspects, but I cannot recommend Rage 2 at the full price for the experience you pay for.

Lots of plot, lots ok nekomimi. Whats not to like? Also, I claim Maple.
