The patches from Naughty Dog have made this game way better!
Im happy I spent the money now.

Old: do no recommend. Spent 3h getting to 34% shaders loading and then crashes. Applied for a refund, but considering the shaders hve been loading over 2h, I probably wont get it

Great craic. And unlike other BR's, you wont be stuck watching your teammates play for 20-30m if you die in the beginning

Only reason I dont have more hours into this is because I sleep in the same room as my PC. 5/7, would lose sleep over again

EDIT: Game is now up for GOTY and truly deserves it.

The game is just a lot of fun. The story is lame and not really important. The important thing is to tie things together and launch them into space.

EDIT: some more cons to add now that Im further into the game

- Play area is WAY too small for put a good park in. Lack of space also means some missions are hard as balls since you need to destroy half your park to make place for the mission park.
- You can't automate anything. Whilst not needed in the beginning, it's getting to be a real hassle at the later islands. To give you an idea: I have about 30 feeding stations spread out and I have to manually click them every 10-15min to make sure nobody is starving. When a fence is broken a Ranger will drive by it without fixing it unless I specifically click that section of the fence. Why can't I just have Rangers out on patrol for both those tasks?
- Carnivours eat herbivours the entire time. I understand when theyre hungry or when its close quarters but not all the time.
- Bad oversight of your park. You can only see everything in the Map mode. Let me zoom out completely
- Everything moves. so. slow.
- Some dinos are just plain ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. You need an exact amount of them or they'll start crashing ♥♥♥♥.

I'm doing the last island and its becoming a massive chore. Zero fun is being had and all the frustrations.
The fact that this will not support modding is a HUGE disappointment. The devs gave some bs reason but its all to sell more DLC. Huge buyers remorse from me


While this game is entertaining, it's not great and certainly not 60 bucks great.

Pro's:
- Dinosaurs!
- Looks pretty
- Jeff Goldblum
- The emergencies are pretty cool
- You can control all vehicles if you choose to do so and it works better than expected

Con's:
- No loan system. Made a mistake? Wait 1h to make the money back
- The system for capturing dino's is conveluted. There's raptors eating my visitors, I want to click once to fix it, not 4x
- There's no pause button. Why is there no pause button?
- Can't see dino's in the trees. Whilst this might not seem to be an issue, it becomes one when you have one running wild, need to pick up a dead one or just want to see how your critter is doing. Because as long as you cant see them, they have no icon. And no icon = you cant click them
- Bugs. Had various crashes
- Taxing on your GPU. Had my 1070 running at 70c+ at some point, not good.
- Mission system is retarded. "Hey get this dinosaur that you wont be able to get for another 5 hours."
- Dino AI is stupid. I know dino's werent smart but when youre dehydrated, walk to the water I just put down!
- The alert system is good and visible... except when I click an icon I dont get taken to where the issue is. Instead I get put into manager mode and I have to scroll out, scroll all over the map and figure it out.
- Dino's have stats. Some are easy to figure out, others arent. A tooltip wouldve been nice.
- You cant transfer dinos from incubation facility (where you make the dinos) to a compound thats not attached to that facility! This means that you need a incubation facility at every compound or, release a dino in an environment it might kill or be killed before you can sleep it.
- Building placement straight up sucks. Move the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tree/fill in the dip/move the power pylon automatically.
- You can only remove buildings (which is a seperate mode instead of an option in build mode), but not move them. Which without the aforementioned pause button is horrible when trying to expand your compounds
- Its easy. On my first two islands Im making about 200k a minute.
- Talking about money, you cant transfer it to different islands. Probably a mechanic but its weird, I just created an island and have 25 million USD there, but on the next island Im 1mil USD in the hole? Makes no sense

So yeah, great potential but needs to be fixed. Do NOT spend money on it just yet. Im not regretting it so far

I dont care what people think of EA, Mass Effect 2 is the pinnacle of action rpg and nothing has come close to it!

Got the game from a friend. We played together once and he died falling off a ladder. Thought defibrilator could help him up but I instead knocked myself out.

10/10 would hike again
