It's not a massive departure from the Assassin's Creed formula, but it is a really really well implemented and refined iteration of that formula.

Solid open-world fundamentals and nice gameplay. Combat is harder than like an assassins creed or arkham but not as hard as a soulslike, a nice balance.

World is beautiful but feels a bit empty and un-lived-in.

It's an incredible well-executed open world action-adventure game.

All the systems and mechanics are way better and more refined than Zero Dawn, though the story is a bit weaker with the lack of well-paced reveals that were so cool about the first game. That's not to say the story is bad--strong characters and strong themes--it's just that the worldbuilding in Zero Dawn was that good it set a very high bar.

Probably the best WRPG experience i've ever played, and I've played a lot.

Great characters, well voice acted, with their obvious own agendas.

Default PC controls, especially for dodging, are not great though.

This is not a very long game, but it's very sweet, very well-written, and has a lot of heart. Some reviews have mentioned bugginess but I never encountered any of those bugs.
