10/10 reference in a polished, awesome vehicle MOBA combat game with clear cues from the 80s.

I absolutely love this game, don't get me wrong. But I miss all the customization the old one had, they should add all that to this. Then the game will be perfect. What I mean is the rocket speed, player size, all those adjustable factors. It added a great deal of variety and it'll do the same to this game. Variety is always nice.

Note: download and install Microsoft XNA before you purchase this. Also, see end for summarized pros and cons. Lastly, it's much easier to keep track of your character than it may seem, even in the most chaotic of matches, thanks to vibrant 2D graphics and color coded characters.

SpeedRunners. Ah, where do I start.

Played this game against my girlfriend, my siblings and my buds over the free weekend. We had so much fun performing various acrobatic stunts while leaving each other behind, be it by using one of the many devious power ups featured in it or just out-dodging, sliding, grappling and jumping each other.

Its mechanics have got a surprising amount of depth to them in what, on paper, is a 2D runner. You run, jump, slide, but then there are homing missiles, freeze rays, grappling hook, flips, boosts, and explosives you can strategically place and detonate to be even bigger a jerk to your friends, siblings, parents or girlfriend! It's a very family friendly game!

While you and your friends' enjoyment and competitiveness is enough to keep ya around for a long, long time, the game also features a very creative and active Steam Workshop community, boasting a constantly rising number of over 28,000 levels available for download, sure to keep the game fresh for pretty much forever. You're probably asking yourself "but wait, who can even download that many levels?" Well, lucky for you, it also has a 'Random Workshop' button where it will select a random level from the Steam Workshop and let you play in it, without having to download any of the levels(of course, it also features a level editor. Where else would all those levels come from?).

You'll laugh, you'll yell, you might punch each other, but you will have a tonna fun and it'll be very much worth it.

I also recommend you practice grappling onto things as that would help you with wall jumping.

Lastly, if you do wanna pick this up, then I highly recommend you do so on the Steam summer sale, during which, if my research is any indication, the game will be priced at a great 2.49$ which is beyond a great deal for what you're getting.

+No shortage of devious weapons to screw over your friends with
+Much more complex than it may seem; great amount of depth to its mechanics
+Awesome characters, one of whom is pretty nostalgic for me as it reminds me of Ben 10's XLR8
+Four player multiplayer, either with bots, local players, online players, or online friends, or a combination of those
+Full support for keyboard, the Xbox controller, the PS4 controller and the Steam controller(of the controllers we've used; support for other controllers is certainly probable using the Steam configuration software integrated into Steam Big Picture)

-Few levels included in the base game, but that's more than made up for in the insane amount of content the community offers
-Resolution "limited" to 1080p, and the options menu, going by video settings, isn't much. But, let's be real here - the game's 2D graphics are both vibrant and brilliantly colored; what more could it possibly improve?
