I finally hit the point where I realize the only thing I'm grinding for is poorly balanced gameplay where I either kill an enemy with barely any resistance, die in 3 turns, or sit there for 5 minutes attack spamming the same enemies that just won't die. There's also a large pedophilic following for the game, and it's pretty obvious why after you start it and play a bit.

mediocre crafting that leads to mediocre combat. I mean they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the headcrab, half-life's goomba.

I will withhold total judgement on the writing until the main quest is finished, but so far, it's just been a wacky purple prose fest. I can't say I'm not having fun with the game part of the game, but I'm worried that the non-game part of the game will ruin the game part of the game.

I recommend the first episode, the rest suck, and Doom 2 sucks. It's sad but the level designers died after making E1 and were replaced with monkeys.

I didn't know the original plan for HL1 was to give barney down syndrome and have ugly upscaled textures, very interesting
