Bruh, what can I say? This kinda surprised me.

Long time Yakuza fan, I was very estranged when this game was revealed due to the overhaul of the combat system and held off from buying it, but eventually my curiosity got the better of me and I just had to at least try it out. What I found out was this is very much a Yakuza game, it's all there, the cool characters, humorous sidestories that ease your mind from the serious plot of the main story, the cool interesting characters with a story that makes me care to see it to the end, the mini-games, the charm and to keep it short it's the full package.

It's just the combat that is different, but you know what? It didn't even matter after a while cause I was too absorbed having fun with the game!

So to the skeptic classic style Yakuza fans, I totally recommend you to pick this up, you won't regret it.

One of my favorite metroidvania games. Got it on every console I own!

The story is somewhat compelling but what drives the game is it's overall art style and it's difficulty.
I have spent countless hours (not on steam obviously) just going around the map and find every item, counter every little challenge that makes you use your abilities in a certain way, try to customize said abilities with the pendants and see how fast I can make it through the game.

Also with all thee free updates it got, the game just became bigger and better, the devs are absolutely epic for that and the final update while excruciatingly hard was so good to tackle (although it brought me to my sanity limits at one point).
If this is your cup of tea 10/10 recommend this game!

Have been playing this on the ps4 since release, best fighting game around at the time.
PC version has way lower input lag which is a huge plus, would recommend it to all my buddies I play fighting games with.

One thing has to be said though, legacy skills are heavily prioritized since there is no comprehensive tutorial mode, so new players, if you want to pick this up, pay a visit to youtube for some tutorials, unless you just want to have mashing competitions with friends, Other then that you are going to have a hard time getting into it. (And I'm not talking about the move list, that is only half of it, I'm talking about wake ups, punishing, frame data, movement etc. etc.)

The online part is good, no complaints about it has pretty much everything that is expected of it.

Story, personally don't really care about it, but it's there and it's medium raw at best. Those who delve into the Tekken lore will like it.
